    EA / Origin help please

So, i recently bought Mass Effect 3 in the EA online store, and after doing that i tried downloading origin to claim my game (i allready had an old origin / ea account from playing another game on origin, perhaps C&C 4) after downloading i tried starting it... Aaaand, nothing happened, nothing at all, the program just won't start, i then tried cleaning the registry / old files etc. to make sure it wasn't an old version messing with me, reinstalled origin and still nothing.

I also noticed that the "origin.exe" disappears after i try using it once..
I cannot make an account to post on EA's own forums as every time i try to verify my account it says that the link from the e-mail i receive is "not valid"..
In short, does anyone have a clue as to what i can do to make my origin work? i really just want to play my new game..
I also can't use the live chat, it just gives me a telephone nr. i can call (which doesn't answer after 4 minutes) and no live chat / anything option..

    Thank you in advance.

Also, if this is the wrong forum, could you please move it somewhere appropriate ?

Welcome to EA customer support. They are a bunch of tribes with no connection to each other, and little to no knowledge of their products.

Well... It's the third or fourth time this incompatibility happen between Origin and some of their games. Honestly, this is the lamest and yet the most reliable solution: Download a cracked version of ME3 launcher. They will roll back the changes to Origin in a few days, as they ALWAYS did before, but until then the very own channel to EA servers will stay treating your game executable as hostile and not allowing it to keep running. Better to use a pirate version, that override this requirement.

My real problem was actually origin not even opening (when i try to JUST launch origin)

Damn... I can't even download ME3 atm since i can't open my origin, but i guess i'll have to find both the game and a crackled launcher.

Thanks for the response though, i am really starting to get pissed at EA now... They ruined SWTOR for me aswell, sigh.
Too bad Bioware had to be bought by them.

    Edit: clarification

EA is where game developers go to die.

Origin and GFWL are a disgrace to the platform, they tried to copy Steam and did it terribly.

    (Way to go off-topic...)

Sadly, your best option is going to be to contact EA "support". They're not known for their timely responses, or their ability to effectively understand and remedy problems, so you're likely in for a headache and a wait : (

That was part two of the problem... I can't verify my account on their forums as the link that they send to my email just tells me (after i click it) that it's "not valid"... But i took the fall and downloaded a cracked version instead... Already paid for the full game so i don't really care, and the problem is solved now, thank you all for your input free internets for all.

Off-topic, yeah origin is a horrible and bad copy of Steam and just fails at everything that steam does just fine... Somehow.

Stay on topic, please. Don't turn this into (another) "EA is awful" thread.

mmm i had a problem with ME3 a few days ago. I played it for a couple months after released and havent touched it since until a few days ago. When i tried to launch it it never launched. I ended up uninstalling it and redownloading it with all the free packs and other stuff i had bought previously, made sure it was all installed, then checked for updates, and once that was done it started working again. Although i have this bug that says i cant connect to their servers for somereason even tho i can play multiplayer so i dont know what thats all about.

Unfortunately OP, this poster is right. EA customer support is kind of bad. There are nice gems around there, I do hope you meet a good specialist that actually knows how to help you... because in general you'll meet those that have no clue about any game...

Damn it.... Probably you have a firewall preventing Origin to work. Try to download an older version, uninstall which you have and put the older in place.

EA and Origin are terrible. Back when I bought BF3 I immediately started having problems. Random disconnects with no error messages etc. Forums weren't much help with generic run answers. They really need to connect more with the community.

I actually was about to put BF3 back on my pc because I felt like some shooter action. Popped the disc in and boom my pc locks up. My pc has never EVER locked up. Not once in the past 9 months of building it. I had to do my first ever hard reset. I took that as a sign from the gamer gods that it is not meant to be and back in the draw the game went.

I'm just left with a bad taste in my mouth and from such a large company its pretty disheartening
