Well yea some of their clients are in the entertainment business but that doesn't make them an entertainment company, and I doubt Naeun personally handles any Apink website with wordpress!

But I feel so out of loop with Japanese music in general since it's so damn hard to find good sources music-wise, and it's near impossible to stan artists and watch videos and stuff like you can with K-pop

Yea I get that, there are only a few Japanese artists I follow personally and it's definitley more difficult to follow them than even the most unpopular Kpop group!

Also with Kpop we get random stuff like this all the time.

J-pop only a few so I could easily list them all. Jasmine, Namie Amuro, Leo Ieiri, FEMM and Flower would be the only ones I listen to regularly. I like a couple songs from other groups like AKB48 and Happiness but not many.

For Kpop too many but my favorite groups right now are Apink, Twice, AoA, 4minute, SNSD and Red Velvet.

My favorite groups are probably Super Junior and f(x) currently. Used to be SNSD but they messed up. Oh My Girl has great potential but they need at least one more great comeback to really justify the hype I have for them. A few other great ones are EXO, BTS, BAP, SHINee, 4minute & AoA. Not a big fan of jpop apart from some old AKB48 and Weather Girls. Also a few songs from Perfume and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.

Watching too much anime to pick up variety/k-drama again but Running Man is great.

I listen to mostly everything Kpop but my favorites are VIXX, BTS, Seventeen, Big Bang and 4minute. Jpop, I like Perfume, Flower, and Egirls.

Well I don't do Jpop, but for Kpop you will find if it is a boy group there is a 95% chance I will love them. Right now my tops are VIXX (including VIXX LR), GOT7, BTS, B.A.P (these 4 are my tops right now) is recent, EXO I like some songs, Infinite, The Legend, Big Bang (and Taeyang and Seungri solo work), Henry, Amber, Day6 (which is a band), Romeo, Up10tion. And that is about it besides Astro who is debuting next month!

Not sure if everything is considered pop, but Babymetal, Head Speaker, I-RabBits, Luna Haruna, E-girls is a nice start for Japanese. Korean... SNSD, Girl's Day, Red Velvet, Nine Muses, Dal Shabet, AOA, Apink, Orange Caramel, J Rabbit, Oh My Girl, Tiny-G, F-ve Dolls and many more.

Obake help! I remember a Chinese artist a while ago I assume you linked (though might have been Riv or me even) that was a female singer and the song featured a guy and she was really good I recall saying the song was as good as GEMs songs or something like that but when I went to find her albums I coudn't and so now I have completely forgotten her and can't find her using the search in this thread or my history because too much GEM ;-;

Any recollection of who it might be?

Also the song was newish when I heard it if that helps ring any bells. So it was released sometime last year I think.
