even if you compare it to the prequels mandlorian is amazing, better acting, better writing ect, you could even argue it does better then OT in many ways.

Star Wars has the same problem DC has, and for just about as long. For as much as we love "the big names", a lot of their better stories and characters exist in the side-material and the shorter runs.
I don't know with the talent and money they have at Disney they could do just about any thing with wanted and put it on the big or small screen I think the problem just comes down with getting big names but not actual starwars fans to make there stuff.

I'll give it to you on the acting vs the prequels(for the most part, there are still some diamonds in the rough: Liam Neeson, Palpatines conversation at the opera, etc). But like I said, the writing on Mando is just reused and rehashed SAFE episodes from much better scifi shows. I liked Mando don't get me wrong but I will never call it "amazing".

reusing or rehashing something that's already good will always be better then making original trash level stuff to me. might not be amazing on its own but when compared to majority of live action starwars id say it makes the cut.

You validated my statement. Everything she's had a part of since the merger is garbage save Rogue One, which I think was more the writers and director, of which, none have been involved before or since. Some people should not be promoted and given more control and power.

I disagree. Of all the good movies, which remake or rehash is still considered good. Force Awakens tried that and failed miserably as do most. And you reiterated my statement. It's good and makes the cut, but I think a lot of that is because what it's compared to, live action, in this new universe is mostly trash.

Uh, you said EVERYTHING she has touched has been bad. Clearly it has not.

Even after the merger, you said Rogue One was good. TFA and TLJ brought in a ton of money regardless of your opinion of them. As lackluster as TROS was it still did decent enough numbers. The Mandalorian continues to print money. Solo was the only flop and will probably go down as the franchises clut classic.

You can say you don't like her work but to say she is garbage is a stretch. I think the sequels are a hot mess but did we forget that the franchise was a mess before Disney acquired it? The prequels were not well received. RotS only gained popularity because of Clones Wars and I and II being so bad. Problems with sequel directors aside, Disney actually salvaged SW and cleaned up the saga. Imagine if the last time we saw Vader/Anakin was RotS...thats a bad look. The best Star Wars has been when Lucas was sidelined.

Nope, go back and reread what I wrote or reread what I wrote that you quoted. Everything she's had a hand in SINCE THE MERGER, which coincidentally, is when she gained all that control and doesn't have Spielberg and his underlings to carry her.

Again Rogue One is a reflection of the director and the writers. Just because something makes a ton of money doesn't make It good, especially if it's reliant on nostalgia and what was good before. That's like releasing a remake of a car that was great back in the day, everyone wants one and buys them up based on the name and model. Then after they buy them, recalls come out, etc, and people realize that these new models are not good, and when compared to the original, utter trash.

I agree 100% about the Vader in ROTS look, never liked how it was handled from the moment he caught off Windu's hand. Which Rogue One fixed in 5 minutes, again, Rogue One.

My apologies if I misunderstood you.

It would be her fault for allowing the mismanagement of the directors of the trilogy.

Analytically she would be 2 for 3 with those. TFA was nothing but a remake but not terrible. Made money.

TLJ is notoriously polarizing, which a lot of people like it and don't like it. You had two directors that mixed like oil and water.

TROS is pure mismanagement which is absolutely Kennedy's fault. Bringing Abrams back was a huge mistake because a) he could never finish a story and b) he is too arrogant to follow the story leads of the person before him. Even then, the production value of TFA and TLJ were still good.

Just like you can give her crap for managing poor projects, you have to give her credits for the good ones she managed, Rogue One, Solo*, Mando.

*Solo had to be remade which is why it ended up making no money but the final product was well enough.

Also their is no way you can separate her career from Spielberg, ILM (Lucasfilm). You don't just carried by that group for 30-40 odd years.

If we’re not limiting it to Starwars movies then the thing is an Obvious remake that comes to mind that people hold up as not just good but an amazing horror staple. (Not the 2012 or what ever thing.)

And ya it makes the cut when compared to what we have in Starwars not on its own as far as all series ever go as live action Starwars has been rather bad since return and arguably before return in many ways.

Last 4 of Season 7 were pretty hardcore good. If they gave Dave something that didn't require him to pump in filler to fill out seasons (not knocking it, just how TV works) he would put out some masterful Star Wars stuff.

“The thing” was a remake of “the thing from another world” and is not only held up as good but as a horror classic.

As for the mandalian it might not be great when compared to the wider scope of tv/movies but when you compare it to the sequel’s or prequels or even the original Starwars movies in some aspects it goes above and beyond.

Correct, very FEW have passed the test. Force Awakens is not one of them. Again, I agree Mando makes the cut, but I will never call it amazing or, you HAVE to go watch it now!

If Rogue One is good because of the writers and director why is Ep7-9 not good because of the writers and director?

Ep7 is the real problem child here and there's only one person to blame: JJ Abrams.
