I can understand tutorials going into some of the game specific mechanics, but like...the fact that people need to be told how to move and what cover is in modern games makes me cry huge, massive salty tears ;_;

I don't know, games are beginning to reach the respectability of books.

It won't be long before my dad has to play the latest Splinter Cell, he's a Tom Clancy fan - but he's never played anything other than arcade games from the 80's and 90's. He'd need to be told what cover is. I can picture my mom being super confused by WASD for movement - it's definitely not geared toward anyone on this forum - but 'Baby's first FPS' has to start somewhere, and you never know which FPS will be the first for children.

Just as an FYI, nothing Splinter Cell, neither games nor books, has had anything at all to do with Clancy himself. He's basically just used as a brand name.

Im not sure i will play this installment purely becuase Ironside is no longer voicing sam fisher, and it just doesnt feel the same without his voice.

I disliked it at first as well, I was wondering if we were supposed to be in the past or something since he looks younger now also.

I disliked it for about 2ish hours, now I think it's actually an improvement - Ironside was so grizzled sounding as Fisher you almost couldn't hear what words he meant to say.

Solutions:
1. Don't pirate games and maybe next time they'll have the funds to make a better quality game.
2. Don't die or fail.
3. Don't pirate a game you "need" to play.

Hard to be serious. I assume you're playing on a PC. I only play consoles.

For a game i have been looking forward to since they said it's coming. It has been rather meh. Which is disappointing.

been playing it and have been having a lot of fun, been doing stealth knock outs, the dogs are the more annoying ones to get a knock out on

edit: my new 760 card is handling it just fine and on max settings

I got the game yesterday. I'll probably try to play it tonight when it gets darker out. Hopefully it lasts me a while.

And by a while, I mean 2 weeks until GTA5 comes out.
