I would play a Saurok.
I would play a Saurok.
High elfs for the allince, though only cos I love their animations, not sure what the horde would get.
High Elves/Vrykul/Naga/maybe Ogres if Blizz can come up with a female that isn't idiotic looking (e.g. worgen). I think Vrykul would be badass, especially if they were noticeably larger than alliance humans.
I really like the Jinyu too. Great looking models, IMO.
I'd like more subraces too, like Dark Iron dwarves, Yaungol, Fel/brown orcs, etc.

Lorewise, Dragonkin wouldn't make sense on Horde side since they do not have the best history with them. Only reason why Thrall played such an integral part with them was because we was with the Earthen Ring at the time and he was basically Azeroth's last hope. Other than that, they have no reason to deal with the Horde.
Since when are leper Gnomes a Horde faction?
The reason Draenei got the shaft is simple. The original Alliance race were Pandaren. Blizzard weren't able to tie them into Outland. Draenei were going to be neutral - e.g. Shattrath and the whole Velen /Sunwell thing - but weren't intended to be present in game after that. Hence...no development.
Worgen? Blizzard threw out their entire story late in the day and didn't have time to do anything with them or develop an alternate storyline. They got a tree in Darnassus and Blizz called it quits.
Blizzard did do a fair job with the BElfs. And a great job with the Goblins and Pandaren

^ Blizz did mention quite recently that they'll try to get in some Draenei love soon enough. Quite excited since that could mean some news about KJ too.
Cave Cave Deus Videt
had it been my choice alliance would've gotten the akama version of draenei for burning crusade
Ogres, gnolls, and those guys with a candle on their head (I can't really recall their names right now, derp)..
Races I see as potentially working
Alliance
Ethereal - Gives Alliance an untrustworthy race with their own agenda
High Elves - Recently very prominent, well established, historical links.
Arrakoa - Some have come to the Light. May seek the Draenei
Jinyu - Allied to the Alliance in MoP
Hozen - Rescued the Monkey King.
Blood Elves - A number didn't agree with the decision to join the Horde.
Furbolg - Some are already effectively members of the Alliance (Stillpine). Azshara group may also join up.
Mogu - Heavy Titan connection
Vrykul - respect strength; human descendents
Harpies - Some groups have worked with Night Elfs
Drakonid - Members may need a home
Troll - Rastakha Zandalari or Dark may need home
Naga - Some don't seem too aligned with Azshara
Sub races:
Humans: Afrian, Asiatic, Indian, Amerindian
Dwarves: Frost, Dark Iron, Wildhammer, Earthen, Lava
Gnomes: Leper, Sand, Jungle, Mecha, Voodoo
Night Elfs: None.
Worgen: Tailed; Night Elf, Alpha
Draenei: Broken, Lost, Eredar, Winged Eredar
Horde
Ethereal - Gives the Horde a void faring race and knowledge of extra worlds
Ogres - Well established in lore and game history
Arrakoa - Outland race, may see the Horde as a haven
Drakonid - Black, Bronze may need a home (Horde have ticked off the other flights)
Hozen - Allied with Horde in MoP
Night Elves - Highborne may seek out BElfs
Mogu - Deny Titan Heritage
Saurok - See the Horde as strong
Vrykul - value strength
Naga - Some don't seem too aligned with Azshara
Sub Races:
Orcs: Fel, Mag'har, Mok'Nathal, Dragonmaw, Blackrock
Forsaken: Darkfallen, High Elf

Honestly I'd just like to see Hozen. I know it will never happen, but I think they're rather cool.
Also, I'm sorry if you like High Elves, but it's a TERRIBLE idea to add them. My opinion, but I hate all this elf fandom. We have one elf race already on the Alliance, we do NOT need another. That's just like adding a "brand new race" but instead of a new race, it's a human from outland. Nothing new, they're just from outland. Maybe they'll have a slight different skin tone, but that's it. We don't need it.
Etherals from BC, though not much cosmetics to work with per se.
At this point my guess is the next xpac will not have new races/classes, but those resources will be used to improve the original race models.
Definitely Ethereals here, and I'd like them to be available to both factions. I've wanted them since BC and it's probably the only thing that would make me buy on release day for the next expansion. Fingers crossed :P
