Carrie Fisher to return as Leia

so we now have 2 outta 3 of the mains in the new star wars movie

harrison ford is back as Han and carrie fisher as Leia will we see a return of mark hamil???

and the question comes what timeline will they follow. will CGI be used to let them leave off from RotJ or will their age be used and continue further along the EU time line

thoughts and discussion. personally I would like CGI use and continue from RotJ but wouldnt mind seeing a thrawn trilogy come to life

Yeah. Read about this earlier today. Lucas was like "oh shit. Was I not suppose to say that"

I rather see something that ISNT related to the EU, like they said they were doing...

No. That would be a terrible idea. They are really, really old. Not that being old is bad, but it's bad for selling beyond already SW fans.

Mark Hamill will be back. Despite being a very busy voice actor (and the best damn Joker ever), I doubt he'd forgo the payday that'll come with returning to Star Wars. It's not like he's gotta worry about being typecast again.

GL says he's written it all already.

I still say Nathan Fillion should have been Han.

The guy who wrote Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine is writing Episode 7. From what I've read, it's going to call for much older versions of the characters from the original trilogy, so these actors being older fits right into the script.

Right because Harrison Ford signs on for something and Mark Hamill turns it down lol. I reckon it's a pretty safe bet he'll sign on (no disrespect to his excellent career as a VA, but come on, starring role in a guaranteed blockbuster at 2013 salary levels? He's in, who wouldn't be?).

Pretty amazing that Carrie Fisher is willing to come back. I bet not working with Lucas is a factor in that haha. Well, all I can say is that modern day Carrie Fisher in a Star Wars movie is going to be... interesting!

Yeah, you can't stamp "property of Lucasfilm" on your ass twice :P

    they will be old
master skywalker as leader of the jedi order
general solo as commander of a mon calamari cruiser with an eyepatch
    and Supreme Chancellor Organa Solo

they will be in the film, but they wont be the main characters anymore and will probably die.

He doesn't own the rights anymore so Disney can ignore his silly little scribblings whenever they choose and tell him to fuck off.

Didn't she go off the rails? I swear I saw a Steven Fry program about Bipolar Disorder with her in it.

People can get their biochemical imbalances sorted out.

But yeah. Shes had a rough time.

I don't really think "go off the rails" is a very nice way to put it.

But in the program she was defiant not to take any medication.

I saw her do a stand up routine a few years ago. Shes got herself sorted out.

Actually they've already confirmed all 3 will be returning some time ago.

Stephen Fry can do no wrong, but this makes me chuckle. I guess it is a serious issue, so I can see that he would get behind it. I need a Fry and Laurie reunion like whoa though.

He did the program because he was diagnosed as bipolar.
