So, I finally got around to listening to all the songs you're thinking of for Whimsy, and imo Turn the Lights Off > Victoria's Secret /Ladies and Gentlemen (man it's been a long time since I've heard that song) > Skin.

Then again, I only have the first chapter to go on (which doesn't even focus on Whimsy), so it's entirely possible that another song is more relevant given something revealed later on.

I gave her my condolences and everything and even offered to talk. No reply. Trying to figure out why she would tell me..

She's definitely much better written (for obvious reasons), but I can't say I like her more than Minato. Maybe tied, but only because of the writing.

He was pretty cool in the drama CDs. I just hope they don't fuck him up in the movies.

Ah, see. Whimsy's magic might just be illusions, but it's where those illusions come from that matters--her imagination, and by extension something else I won't spoil that may or may not be heavily involved in the overarching theme. That's where Own Little World fits--it's all about your imagination, your alternate reality. Turn the Lights Off doesn't cover that area nearly as well.
