    Moonkin dps problems

    Hi, my guild recently defeated Heroic Jin Rokh and, even if im really happy about my dps results, I was told by a friend who plays a moonkin as well that I should be doing much higher. While he does have better gears than me, Id like to know how I can improve myself and do better. Any tips, recommendations, critiques* will be much appreciated as long as it doesnt get overboard

    When I killed this boss I was 504ilvl compared to 506 now, had a 517weapon and a 496 Legs.

    While I do know how to read some data from the logs, I suspect my timing on some abilities could be wrong.

    I started playing the boomkin in pve late last patch, please help out a poor chicken.

    Thanks =)

    Low uptime on sunfire/moonfire, on Jin'Rokh there is no reason to have under 98%, also use cooldowns when you get into first water pool.

    It seems that you're using celestial alignment at the start of your incarnation. You should hit incarnation as you enter lunar, then use CA as soon as your lunar energy runs out (you hit 0 neutral energy)

    or when you have 15 seconds remaining on Incarnation (whichever comes first) this means CE lines up perfectly with the end of NV, and you spend the full duration of Incarnation in an eclipse. If you pop Incarnation and Celestial Alignment together after the 15 second duration of CA you'll be put out of an eclipse and the time spent pushing to solar your starfires are no longer boosted by Incarnation because you're out of an eclipse.

    yeah making the best out of your cooldowns will greatly help your dps you're essentially losing 15 seconds of your incarnation.

    If you're a troll macro Zerking in with CA instead of incarnation.

    You shouldn't be telling people this. Most practical logs aren't going to have 98% uptime because you're not going to refresh a sunfire when you're 1-2 starfires away from solar and you don't crit. If they're below 90% sure, but 98% is going to result in people mindlessly dotting irregardless of trinket procs/icds.
