Where's the "forced to resign" part? All I saw was:She will take up the post of youth PPC in July or August, after her apprenticeship.
I'm torn when it comes to this. Because i find it so annoying to read about these things in "today's teenagers", how they write and say BS on the internett. As online bullying and talking shit about a teacher as an example, or make someone kill themselfs because one brat wrote "She is so ugly she deserve to die" then the 200 people "thumb up" and comment the same things, and so on. Makes me wonder if they even have a brain.
But then, teenagers or "kids" are vicious with or without internett, when it comes to bullying. But here, im not that old, and i have been "a bully" against people in my teens myself, and we did have internett (i'm 25), but i never did it over the internett, but more to them by words etc. And i'm not proud of it, infact i regret it when im thinking about it, i was a f**king asshole and i didn't see what i was doing was hurting people, or their emotions didn't affect me.
But then when you grow up you see things from another perspective, but 17 is not grown up, you are still stupid at 17 as she is. (Imo).
Internet works diffrently though, since her tweets might might have been something along the lines "Gay people are retarded!!" as she is not telling it to someones face, but telling the world (her opinion). Wich then makes it worse, not to 1 person, but all.
Also she talking shit on the internet about her sex life, being anti-gay, racist, drugs, alcohol.. add that to PCC, just no.
She deserve the bad reputation, and there is no excuse for the shit you have done, and you should live with it. But be judge upon it is diffrent. She is 17 now, therefor, still a teenager with silly tweets to come.
At first i thought (Well everyone does stupid things while they are teenagers), then i saw your comment, and you are very correct, she is probably the same teenager now^^
“The worst thing I can be is the same as everybody else. I hate that.”
Stuff like this wont be an issue in 10 years or so when everyone will have something stupid they posted on FB or Twitter once. I will be an individual comment to comment issue if there is something really inappropriate but not if there is just something stupid that was posted once.
Delu čast in oblast!
Praise the work and give it power!
Well, on the one hand, this is what happens when you let a tabloid run around pretending it's a reputable news source. On the other hand, it's just another example of the pit-falls of social media when it comes to anyone in the public eye. Lesson learned for her, she'll move on.
There are countless people that are not even remotely ready or responsible enough for the social network age. I don't feel sorry for their stupidity.
If your dumb enough to spew opinionated things on twitter that can taken out of context, then you should lose a job later in the future. That exact same person is likely gonna to be the guy/girl that spews the same bullshit in the hallway or break room at work thinking its their private soapbox time.
Can't tell you how many tweets I have seen that are just embarrassing to even read, and I certainly wouldn't hire someone with such foresight.
Well then, Ive heard this a fair few times over the radio the last few days, and I've agreed with it through and through
BUT
Not one of them ever said it was done when she was 14, I mean serisoulys come on, how many people at 14 truly understand racism and hate and why be punished now for it, If it was when she was 14, then I have to say I disagree with her resignation now
The problem is that our society seems to live with their heads in their asses nowadays. A 17-year old posted silly BS on the internet - oh my GAAAAWD.
Just dropping in again,
The messages were posted between the ages of 14-16, as people have said the greatest changes mentally and physically oft occur during that period - as for others saying, well she posted them during her election.
No, she didn't. A newspaper decided to sniff her past out, and found something gold - i'm slightly disheartened some people are claiming that the person you were at 14, is the person you are today.
Was she a little stupid at the age of 14-16, yes - we all are, should she of had the common sense to go back through the messages since she was entering a highly prolific role.
For sure, and she's reaping the reward for youthful folly.
(Please note, i disagree with her posted messages - some were as harmless as, i want to get paid this Friday and get wasted. Others not so much, such as commenting on a mans shirt which had cannabis leaves on (She said something along the lines of, awesome shirt).
The press did there job, stuck there nose in - blowed everything out of proportion, and made a child realize what's she done - in the most public humiliating sense possible.
So some stuff she posted a few years ago as a high school freshman disqualifies her for a current position? That's lame.
Take note, all you trolls. The internet is written in ink.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
Shows what The Daily Mail can do to people. Nasty piece of journalism.
