    Case Fans - Help

    I have a

    Zalman Z9 Case - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zalman-Z9-Pl.../dp/B004FPQL0E

I want to put in some new fans to replace the old ones.

Need to be quiet but not too expensive. I don't know any good makes and what size fans i should be looking at.

    Any help would be great.

    UK sites only if possible

You are looking for airflow fans, quiet ones. Remember, keep a positive airpressure in the case. That means more intakes than exhaust fans. Good brands: Corsair, Noctua, Scythe, Fractal Design (cheapest and worst out of these, but quiet), Noiseblocker, Yate Loon, Bitfenix. If you can fit 140mm's go for them. If not go for 120mm's. Don't fill up your rig with max amount of fans if it can be avoided, usually a 3x120mm intake and a 140mm exhaust is more than enough. These should be placed so that you don't disrupt any airflow and create hotpockets. Hope that's helpful to you.

    I'm currently using 3 types

2 of the ones that come with my Fractal Design R4. 2 140mm quiet fans from Corsair. 2 ultra slim Scythes for my top mounted h100 so they fit.

I don't hear a thing on this case. So, so quiet
