ToT Horridon & [Prot] Paladin DPS

Usually the tank that stays on Horridon the entire fight does the big numbers. I tank adds on all doors as paladin and i dont go over 130-140k untill p2. But as soon as war god dies, the fact that paladin can tank horridon for eternity due to his active mitigation being superior on this fight, i have seen myself on 1.5mil+ dps for the last min of the fight.Then u just salvation urself and have free time with 400k ap and no way to overagro and die. Feels good to watch 2.5mil crits

Hey - can anyone tell me why protection paladins have such high damage done on this fight?

I play a survival hunter and here is a log from my horridon kill last night

As you can see I was able to stay way ahead of the paladin tank, however other dps classes seemed to struggle.

I have looked at other guilds logs for horridon encounters and to me it seems prot pallys still rank high on the dps meters for this fight.

Please advise.
