Hi guys I would appreciate some feedback on my build:
Main use is to play games. I want to be able to have all settings max at least till next year.
I will be playing mainly bf4, Total War Rome 2, currently also playing Far Cry 3 (which does not run smooth at max settings on my 2/3 year old rig)
CPU: I7 3770k
MoBo: Asus P8z77-V Deluxe
GPU:Asus GTX 690 (alt. Titan, or 780 ?!)
RAM: Corsair Vengance 16 GB DDR3-1600 Quad-Kit
Heatsink: Noctua NH-D14
PSU: beQuiet! 700w
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256 Gb
Tips and any advice is greatly appreciated
You didn't really answer any of the questions Note linked you, other than it's intended use and for that this is complete waste of money. If you answer the questions in the thread linked by Note we have a much easier time helping you.
GTX780, $660. MUCH cheaper than the GTX690.
Your call.
As said... Why those parts? The CPU, board, ram, and SSD model, are all a waste of money over other parts that perform the same.CPU: I7 3770k

As you can see, this is a total waste of money.
Didn't even include the PSU, the one you listed is a complete overkill and another goldsink.
I'd change the CPU/Mobo for the i7-4770k and a Z87 (probably the ASRock Extreme4), which should come out to around the same (mobo much cheaper, CPU more expensive. In addition, drop the SSD to either the 250GB 840 or the 240GB M500.

Where the CPU and Motherboard are placeholders for when Haswell comes out next week.

The CPU?Mobo are placeholders. The RAM I went for is fully compatible with the cooler, and the Blu-Ray was something I went for as it was (a) on offer at the same price as the reader (yes, the one I linked is a writer, too!), and (b) probably going to be used. If that's not the case, then it's easily changeable with a standard DVD-RW.
I'm not questioning the actual RAM but why 16GB?
I know the CPU is a placeholder but I'm still asking why the i7?
I see the Blu-Ray is a writer, not really questioning that. Again for a regular gaming rig people either get nothing or a DVD drive but you're right you can decide on your own.
Funny (I really mean no offense) that you replied to my post/questions but didn't actually answer any of them
Then again, perhaps we can get OP better advice once he answers some of the questions from the "help me thread". Based on it being gaming though there is a lot of wasted money as mentioned.

Yeah, bit of a brainfart there. I'd change it down for the i5-4670k and the Z87 mobo I mentioned. Could probably wait for the GTX770 for max performance in the games mentioned above. I'd probably still keep the 16GB of RAM, even though it's overkill now.

Well, if i were to buy a new PC, i'd probably get 32gb of ram, make a ramdrive, and put WoW on it. But if you don't already know what a ramdrive is, it's benefits, want it, and are exclusively willing to buy more ram just to put one or two games on one (that you have to re populate with the files you put on every time you shut down, because ram is volatile) then you're better off just going for what you need. especially if you're on a budget.
