I noticed a mastery gem in your staff, and you reforged out of haste on your shoulders and bracers as well.
Other than that, I think that breakpoint is the right way to go for your item level.
The gist of davie's link, and the concensus among the spriest mathletes, is that you should do everything in your power to stack as much haste as possible.
I am still relatively new to shadowpriest, however I have been reading a lot on here, howtopriest, twintop etc. I also simcraft but I know some are against it.
Without the LMG, I have huge gaps between my "useful" haste breakpoints, personally. For instance, atm I'm at the 13.2/3k cap, cannot yet reach the next useful cap w/o LMG 14.8, so wouldn't crit/mastery have a higher value until that point? This is what simcraft is reflecting. I try to not fully rely on simcraft since I hear a lot of spriests saying it's unreliable, but in my head it's reasoning kind of makes sense, since I cannot get close to 14.8.
http://howtopriest.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=3160 -- I've read all through this page. I would just like to assure that I am understanding it correctly.
ps - I retracted my previous post to the OP I don't want to be giving out false info. I hope you don't mind the question though.
For the most part, this only happens on single target. SimC is a tool, its not perfect nor is it 100% accurate. The more noob friendly player just sims them self once with low iterations and only on a single target non movement type fight. This is generally going to give you a very poor representation of what you are looking for. To get the most, or at least close to most, accurate answer you need to sim with many iterations, on multiple boss fights. I personally have a spreadsheet of every boss and every boss type in ToT and get an average of all of them to get my stat weights. Obviously, simC wont be able to get it perfectly due to bosses but its still somewhat close. Thinking of it now, i need to update my spreadsheets because i haven't in close to 20 ilvls >.>
Hey, thanks for the response. Yea, I understand that it's just one tool among many, I've been trying to read up as much as I can from different sources, I usually get the best results that way. I do somewhat understand simcraft as far as the iterations, I can do a little coding/stat weights/reforge plots, but I don't try to be a pro at it, like configuring for specific boss fights is beyond my knowledge. Is there any middle ground for understanding statweights between hastecaps besides simming every single boss?
Does it sound bad that I favor crit/mastery slightly w/o LMG when the closest I can get to the next breakpoint is @500 away? I just can't find a clear answer to this, maybe there isn't one without more in-depth simming which is perfectly ok.
Once you reach 18.2K, your MB and VT will be at 1 second cast. your DoT effects still keep ticking faster though, but if you get more haste than 18.2K, you'll feel like your cast time spells have gaps between them.
Is 18.2k even attainable?
And that would make lust essentially useless. Which I kinda like for some reason, if only for the amusement factor.
likely. the simcraft 5.3 heroic BiS list already has 17,128. http://www.simulationcraft.org/520/Raid_T15H.html for reference.
Just click on my armory, it's easily attainable.

Just wondering, Drye, why don't you have 4P? I mean is it a DPS loss? I thought they fixed that bug.

My opinion on 4 pc that starts there.
I gues it´s because the set gloves and chest have realy terrible itemization + the items he has are both heroic thunderforged that should outweigh the meager 4set bonus by far ...
