Heroic Durumu Questions (10-Man)

One tanking Durumu is possible without a Prot Paladin? Can we do it with just a Holy? How many healers can we take?

Definitely doable with one tank. We actually had to use our Bear for the tank instead of Pally as he lacks an offspec. As long as the Pally has Clemency you're good to go

2 healing seemed the way to go as well. It's STRESSFUL, but only having 2 mazes was almost a necessity as a few raiders were. . . lackluster with this.

As far as tips go, the eye adds from dispelling the debuff aren't THAT bad, and if it means saving someone do it. Also having your Ele sham save his Ascendance for the walls is amazing, they obliterate them with Lava Beam. You can life grip people through walls assuming they're trapped.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, our Mage was still damaged by Parasite even while in Ice Block, so as far as I'm aware immunities don't work on it.

Bit redundant now, but solo tanking with a prot warrior or blood dk is certainly viable and is how my guild did / does it. More of an FYI for farm kills to not put you off using one of these tanks in future kills (Blood DK's in particular also bring strong damage to the ice walls, although with your available DPS specs this won't be an issue)

Only difficult part about Durumu is making sure there is enough people in every beam every time. Sounds easy, but having to micro-manage who is going where and who will replace x into y because x got the z beam is what causes the most wipes on this fight.

That and managing the Drain Life. You need a pick order for those because it's human nature to either all go and take 1 stack, or think somebody else will go and let the person die.
