Iron Qon : Throw Spear ability

Apart from the response of "use your eyes", is there anyway to judge where the trails will go with Iron Qon's ability Throw spear, so you can place yourself nearby the the spear and be a safe area? I.e. Ragnaros's Lava Walls. Is this the same animation as Ryolith? Thanks for the help in advance.

Nope it's up to you to move to a safe distance in the 4-5 second time period between the spear dropping and the lines coming out of it.
