Glad they did it, not sure exactly when I got mine but it was borderline when the hotfix went in or not. I didn't exactly camp it, I just flew by and logged on toons there every now and then to hope I bump into the guardling. I saw it twice but someone got to it before I did. I got the 3rd one I saw. I am not sure what they changed the spawn of 6 hrs to but I think shortening it a bit for a rare pet that spawns for 2-3 months out of a whole year. With so many people camping them crossrealmed, not everyone has the time to camp it all day.

There were like 15 people afk mon mounts, I flew around 20sec and found 1 pet right in front og AQ40 gate... Casual search > mass camping.

They always give into QQ if you never noticed yet. To get a fix to anything you want you must QQ about the issue and hope theirs enough people that feel the same way

Uncalled for. The recent hotfix made them spawn in like any other pet in the wild. Before they were super rare. Unborn val'kyr rare.

I'm very glad blizz caved, it's a seasonal pet and the snowy owl was common as hell.

Uhhuh, I'm sure even before the hotfix it wasn't bad. People are just impatient. Once the 'newness' factor died out (1 week tops) it would have been cake.

they were not even that rare, on my server usualy a fair amount of people hovering around, but a new one spawned every 10mins or so, and 90% of the people were hovering in the same area, i battled 4pets before i got my rare one, was easy to get one. just people being inpatient, not seeing one instantly.

Wow, went there to farm up a rare - you guys weren't kidding about that spawn rate, they were spawning faster than I could kill them half the time.

Saved myself a stone though, which is frankly the hardest thing these days - have every wild pet bar the DMF crow and Winter owl in rare quality, so just need stones for the none-wild pets, which I'm struggling to get in any quantity.

The QQ about this pet is or was an embarrassment. It took me less than 36 hours to get one. Uncommon, not up to my standards, since I only collect rare quality (I use my stones for the pets that aren't possible to tame), but I got one and the title/achievement completion. Did I camp? Hell no.. That's an awful waste of time. Use brains instead, and have patience. I've not neglected any sleep, I went to work during the day. And I did not fly around like a headless chicken. I had 4 toons on 4 different realms sitting at the exact same spot. I logged into them every time for exactly 5 minutes. Then I switched. On the second day, with less than 36 hours after midnight spawn, I got me my Guardling.

Could argue: Get sth quick = happy at first, bored after = unsub. But there is still the unborn Valk that is rare and not part of an achieve IIRC - so that would stay rare. If you ask me.....I didn't mind camping the rain ape and arctic fox. Parked an alt there. Checked sometimes once, sometimes 10 times a day...had both in under three weeks that way. I doubt anyone QQed about that.

Part of the reason is that the Qiraji is only available for 3 months, whereas the others are year round. I think Blizzard buffing the spawn rate was the right thing to do, but they did it way too soon. I think they should have waited at least a month. The first few days, I could see dozens of people camping at the scarab wall. Now, the pet has been out for just over a week, and the Scarab Wall is empty because everyone who's interested in it has gotten it by now.

I think the earlier decision to buff the spawn rate was the right thing to do. Delaying would have only caused more people to complain about it.

2 hours for 1 companion pet out of 600's for a feature some of us just use it for achievements. It's TWO HOURS, it's a LONG time.

(that being said I got a blue after 3 mins of arriving there, today - since I didn't know they buffed the spawn and was gonna wait out the initial hype)
