hello mmochamps,
so a while ago due to my own non proper computer care, my gpu has kinda broken down and im looking to replace it with a geforce 660 ti, but i remain having my computer on with the half broken gpu i have atm. I left my computer on over night once and later the next day my computer wouldnt load any programs. so shutdown and restart and it shows me in a bios screen the overheating of my cpu? can a non fully functioning gpu cause the cpu to overheat like this?
should i also get a heat sink fan and thermal paste when i buy my new graphics card? or will just replacing the bad graphics card fix this? it should also be noted that i dont overclock.
thank you for any help.
also i was wondering why these two card (seemlingly the same) have a 30$ difference, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121656 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127696
