This behaviour is worth a second thought only insofar as you can stop it. Your options are limited to:
1) Reporting
2) Asking his GM if he condones this type of behaviour in the hope he gets kicked or something.

The world is full of dicks, don't let them make you waste time acknowledging them.

There should be a section on the official forums where people who behave like this have it exposed to the entire community before being banned, that way when they come back, everybody hates them and they are forced to name change.

Jokes aside, I've encountered more of this than I would like, I try my best to ignore it, but I'm the type of person who holds a grudge, always racking my brain to think of some way to get back at them, yeah, stupid I know, but that's me. Oftentimes the only thing you can do is report and ignore, I know it doesn't feel like anything has come of it when you do that, but it's all you have. Nice if there were some way to know your report had been dealt with.

Btw when you do get those whispers again you reply with LOLOLOLOL MAD or something a combination of it and they will go all out on you least on my experience which makes it even more funnier and entertaining.

Once a guy told he would help me with a quest if I helped him. I helped him first, then we were fighting the mob I needed to kill he kicked me mid fight. After he whispered me "hahaha fucking loser!". But I got credit for the quest anyway so I pretty much told him "umm thanks for the kick, got credit anyway" and then he just kept spamming me until I put him on ignore and reported him. All that because I helped him with a quest. Some people are just assholes. Pretty much anyone who has been playing the game for any length of time has run into these children. Even though I get angry too sometimes, it's best just to ignore and report.

But doesn't the "Don't care what others say" lead to arrogance and ignorance? I mean, I agree that ignoring these jerks is the best anti-troll tool available - but posting about it here should help in generating a community attitude of "This behaviour is not to be tolerated".

Here's an opinion: People who talk like this in game are douchebags and the more people bring it up, the less tolerant people are of the behavior.

I'd rather talk about the things us players can do to clean up the community than pontificate about something well beyond my scope of understanding.

I disagree. The OP didn't expect people here to roll on his server and thrash the dude. He made a post laughing about the ridiculousness of people. Normally in threads like this, folks share their own experiences with assholes as opposed to jumping at the opportunity to be one themselves.

While leveling up my 65 Dk, I join a group in progress where it seems the tank got kicked, and the healer refused to heal anyone.

The healer left shortly after. I hadn't said anything in the group, and not wanting to be involved in any more drama, I simply leave the group. Right after, I get this:



It just boggles me since I didn't even speak in the group, and had no interaction with this person.

I don't understand why some people are so needlessly angry.

Looks like you dodged a bullet OP, with a few scrapes. The scrapes are the verbal abuse you were subjected to. This individual is probably the reason the previous tank left, and the same reason the healer went into shut in mode. By the looks of it, this guy was on a power trip, calling players in his group "bads" and such, until someone snapped and left the group, leaving him to wait a considerable time, and when you joined, you saw the devastation and chose not to clean up his BS, which annoyed him to no end.
