They can still zerk subject 7, it doesn't have to be dead eye.

OMFG, I finally got it done with engineer. F that achievement in the face, gah! Now all that's left is Meatless Murder and the two Liadri achievements.
I never tried Subject 7 with warrior other than to get the blobs achievement. Necro's the only one I used with 5 gambits on S7 because I thought it'd be easy as a conditionmancer. Blah.
I have yet to beat Liadra, but I've been sort of going about it casually. I did Deadeye with one gambit and failed once with three gambits. I should probably take it more seriously, but there's too much going on. There's all gold farming to be had, the skin farming, and still WvWvW calling my name. I wanted to get back into spvp with solo queue but it's on the backburner for now.
Just got Meatless Murderer, so all that's left is Liadri. I think I'm going to take a break and farm more though. Just trying to get the 5 gambit one really wore on me (as evidenced by my earlier post) and Liadri's going to (likely) be worse.
My server's been getting crushed in WvW for the past two weeks, so that has not been tempting at all. Maybe next week we'll get a better matching. What I really want to do is make my new elementalist, but I can't in good conscience do that when there's gold to be made! ;P
The Gauntlet leaves Sep. 3rd, so there is at least two more weeks of doing it. Last night I finally tried it out seriously and got to Tier 2 before doing some more farming. And speaking of farming, John Smith, the ANet economist, did say that farming probably will be nerfed in some way soon.
I suspect the event in Orr where you have to intentionally fail the event to continue farming will be nerfed. Other than that, I don't think the Frostgorge farm will be nerfed because that seems not to be an exploit.

I do have to say that the Liadri mini pet is actually pretty badass, though I would rather have a title for completing the achievement than a mini pet.
Where? O_o I only saw him say "yes" to the OP, which could mean anything. Once the Pavilion is over farming's going to get a huge nerf just because it won't exist anymore. Other than champions, farming the outside world has always been terrible so I'm not even sure what changes they'd make there other than increasing the timers on champion spawns. It could also mean they're planning to introduce more gold sinks as well.
The biggest one is the Orr event chain in Cursed Shore. It is an escort quest that starts at Anchorage waypoint to eventually take back a camp at Auger's Torch. With enough people a lot of champions spawn. The thing is that if you fail the event without taking the camp, the escort starts again in 5 minutes. If you take the camp, the escort quest won't start again for another two hours. So the thing is that people are deliberately failing the event so they can just farm champs forever and make a good amount of money. I'm guessing that event in particular will be nerfed hard.
Yea, this failing event thing has been a return to the glory days of Orr farming. It won't last though, I suspect.
Oh good, more Orr event nerfing, that's just what the zone needs. /sarcasm
I haven't set foot in Orr in months. It's the very last place I want to have to go if there's any other alternative.

I think I've figured it out. Scarlet is that person in the mask from the launch commercial.
I'm trying to understand how this gambit reward system works. I read somewhere that doing a boss with 5 gambits rewards the same as doing 5 separate bosses (with no gambits)? Is that right? So gambits are really just a time saver then in terms of rewards, 1 vs. 5? How much does tier matter?
It's all about speed, you get the same rewards as doing a boss 5times. You get 10s per bag, it takes me 35s to kill one boss with 4gambits. There's no way I'll be able to kill a single boss 5times that fast.
30s/40s = 45s/m = 27g/h (have to convert sprockets to tickets so I added that cost in)
I think there's a few issues, really:
1) This is the first time they've done something like this, so the system can be tweaked forward. (This goes for a lot of things since launch)
2) The internet seems to make the few (comparatively) people that CAN do this seem like a more significant portion than they are.
3) Only those people that CAN do this, WILL do this, obviously. When I go to the cage-domes, there's very few folks around, but those that are there will be there a long ass time.
4) Possibly most importantly, Anet's internal testers aren't as good/obsessive as the top players in the real world, so they really lack a frame of reference for some things ahead of time.
Well, I literally have like 500 tickets and there is no way in Hell I am making that many Liadri attempts, but I also cannot do 5 gambits on my necro and she is the one with all the tickets. I'm okay with a slower, less efficient pace. I just didn't know if it'd be worth it to bother with only doing 3, maybe 4 gambits on a boss like Tyre Ragemaw (I hear he's another one people farm) especially since I didn't know if it not being a T3 boss mattered either.
Well, remember that the game has millions of players. (Lets not get into actual number playing or whatever.) The "average player" is probably a pretty low bar.
"Only a few" might mean 100's per server are doing it. Maybe thousands.
For every player that steamrolls Dunwell, there's ten asking in map chat how to FIND the instance.

As an example, yesterday in LA Map, there was a player asking which zerker gear had the best stats.
I would like to know that, too. I have watched several official videos but still no idea which one you mean, Zed.
...and the answer would have been "any Level 80 exotic (berserker gear)". Might be hard to realize for players that come from other MMOs.

It was a joke about the terrible launch commercial the game had. Here's a link to the part of the commercial I am referencing:
