Help with recovering data from old HDD.

    Hi guys,

As the title suggests I am seeking some help with HDD data recovery.

Basically I wished to recover a whole bunch of old files from my old computers hard drive but was wanting clarification on the following:

    1) Would something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153071 work?

    2) This hard contains the entire amount of data including the OS (Vista 64bit), will this be a problem?

Some further details on my HDD

    Brand: Fujitsu
    Model: MHV2080AT
    Size: 80 GB

Any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

well that it basicly do is allow to plug your internal hhd and connect it via usb. but you can just connect it to your new comp and copy them to your new hdd. but you kinda need the dock if your mobo doesn't support ata-100.

No. The drive you're trying to access is old fashioned ATA-100 and the dock you linked works only with SATA drives. You need something like this instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812232002

Chances at finding a mobo for a gaming computer that has connector for laptop ATA-100 drive is exactly zero.
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
    Trolling should be.
