It's summer, signups are down and we're looking to bolster our ranks a little both over summer and into autumn. We'll take a look at all solid applications but in particular we're looking for:
Melee: rogue/warrior/shaman/monk
Ranged: mage/hunter/druid
Healer: any - pref monk
Longer term we may have room for a healer - particularly druid or monk.
Currently we're Realm No.1 - that's not something we really pushed to achieve, it just happened. So if you're the kind of person who will freak out if we're no longer realm 1 you're probably not for us :P Likewise if you're looking to get lots of shinies with "heroic" in the label we're also not for you - we aim for progression over gear.
Who are we?
Aquila has existed since April 2007 with no breaks from playing (or raiding) in all that time. We formed from the raiding core of an older guild formed in 2005, soon after Hellscream went online. As such we're one of the oldest raiding guilds on the server (and certainly one of the oldest raiding cores). Since TBC we've maintained progression at a high level for this server, top 5 and generally top 2 or 3.
Since Cataclysm arrived we refocused on ten man raiding in common with many guilds. Despite various bumps along the road we're still here, still raiding.
When do we raid?
We schedule three raids each reset - typically Wednesday, Sunday and Monday which run from 20:50 to 00:00 game time. A significant number of our players are UK based so the slightly later start means less rushing. We do however expect those selected to be on time!
We recently switched from using EPGP to a Robocouncil loot system (automated loot council using AMR). EPGP was an excellent system and served us well during 25 man and a large guild size. But we found it became less relevant for 10 man and very low rotation situations.
What do we expect?
We expect you to sign for "all" raids (on average) per week. Rotation is light since we maintain a small raiding team. Despite that small size we have a very dedicated core of players who will often make themselves available for alt pugs, LFR, LFD, etc.
What can we offer?
A typically friendly atmosphere with peeps who've played the game for many years. A dedicated mumble server, web site and forum, etc. The guild covers the vast majority of in-game costs; repairs, gems, enchants, food, elixirs, potions and flasks. We also help out with item purchases and the like as/when we can.
