Vol'jin: For da Horde!
Varian: We will END you!
It only works if you put the proper emphasis on the End.
FFXIV - Maduin (Dynamis DC)
I can imagine alliance using that.
"We will end you........ Next time!"
I still think "Have mercy!" suits you better.
Por que odiar si amar es mas dulce? (*^_^*)
Except it isn't, nor wasn't, a battlecry. It was a direct and personal threat, and one made convincingly if you ask me.
I seriously don't think anyone can seriously expect a field full of alliance soldiers and their commander to cry out 'we will end you!' in morale-boosting unison. That would be quite stupid.
'For the alliance' is all the battlecry they need. Its not supposed to be an attempt at being/looking cool, its a stark reminder of the bigger picture for which you fight.
lol. this.
Really the Alliance battlecry is "Sigh... whatever"

The Alliance doesn't fight to end the horde. The Alliance fights for peace. The threat was empty as we all know, meaningless, and in the end just makes Varian look insecure. If Varian was a strong leader he wouldn't need to get angry, all he would need to do is tell Vol'jin exactly what is going to happen in a flat rational voice.
I thought "Theramore was merely a setback" was the latest alliance chant.
Personally I feel "For the Horde!" and "For the Alliance!" sound equally good. I feel the Horde battle cry gets more credit for rolling off the tongue better, 'For' and 'Horde' having the same emphasis on the 'or'.
It also depends who says the line. Horde players may think their cry is superior but I think mostly because it's usually uttered by a barbaric Orcish warrior with a deep, gravely, voice. Versus "For the Alliance" which is usually spoken more softly by the Alliance foot soldiers.
Some Alliance units in WC2 said "for the king" but they never sounded that convinced. With the king being Varian I imagine they would be less so.
En Taro Adun...
... wait.
"For Lordaeron" was always my favourite, though it only really applied to the human portion of the Alliance, and even then it was only the humans from Lordaeron. And now? Well...
FOR THE HORDE- Works for the Horde
GLORY TO THE ALLIANCE- Works for the Alliance
For the Horde!
"For Lothar!" is still the best battlecry in WarCraft ever. It's just something Turalyon and AA's soldiers shouted from their heart without even having to think up anything when Sir Lothar fell against that scum.
I think "Don't make me come over there!" would be better...
the alliance battle cry will always be "have mercy" CANNON confrimed by blizz

That's why so many people look smart until they start talking."

For the Horde > "anything you can possible come up with, including your silly 'we will end you lol'"
The grass is always greener - The times were always better
I can imagine Varian in his morning gown, shouting I WILL END YOU at his bowl of cereal before eating it.
Now you see it. Now you don't.
But was where Dalaran?
