My wishlist:
- Updated models with updated skeletons and great textures.
- Sub-race options.
- Good looking faces.
- A lot of awesome hairstyles.
- Glorious beards.
- Body type customization. (slim, average, buff, brutal, fat, obese)
- Body height customization.
- Scars and tattoos.
- Age options that slightly change the faces.
- New animations, but also keep the old ones.
- Being able to choose what kind of combat animations you have. (as in have a big pool of animations that all the races can chose from)
- Be able to assign strike/cast animations to different abilities/spells.
- Advanced gear customization. (let's be able to chose what to show or what not to show, half-shoulders, half-gloves, no pants... whatever)
Basically I want a simplified Elder Scrolls character customiser.

I fully agree with this list.
how cool would it be if you had affro hair style options?
would be great if they could give body type customization also, it depends on how they can adapt gear.
I would also really dig an age slider option. Blizzard do not want a too complex character creation ... it's one of the appeals of sub-races coming in as advanced races...but I hope that character creation is wisely upgraded. I've always favoured having an advanced option. It solves both problems
you have the simple usual character creation with limited customisations, few options:
Hit Advanced and you get:
Body type adjustments
Age sliders
more facial hair, eyebrows and other adjustments
Height adjustments.. dynamic grow with level option. i.e. you start as a shorter teenager at level 1, and you peak height growth at elvel 60 , peak girth/muscle mass growth at level 90, [females may not have the girth option, or if they do, the increase is very slight]
you can add extra features as well that would have causd confusion.
My suggestion for Sub-races, was to have their icons pop up once you've selected the race. or have 3 icons next to each race, so a new player can pick what he wants.
I would also argue, although no one will listen to me, that if you're doing a list like you have now. Horde should be on the left, and alliance on the right instead. Furthermore, if Orcs appear first on the horde, they should be paralleled with Dranei and not humans.
Humans should be paralleled with Forsaken and the new human forsaken sub-race be prominent.
The alternative is to have Humans as first on the alliance and Forsaken as first on the horde, and orcs next.
I have also proposed short character creation tutorial for new players, that runs you quickly through the race and class options. This will highlight what youc an choose, so players see good examples of each model. The tutorial, like the cinematic will run automatically on the first launch of the game, and be selectable afterwards
The fact that Nightelves seem to cut their own legs everytime they wear a offhand frill or a fist weapon.
Seriously, http://www.wowhead.com/item=29348 is pure epic... except when you're standing with its blade across both your legs...
as long as the models are done with high def textures i will be happy about the models . most gamers have rigs that blow away the requirements for this game anyways might as well make everything have HD textures.
what would I need credibility for? I'm not an insider, nor posing as one, I look at hypothetical situations and i'm more interested in players' opinions. Hey, some of my hypothetical situations some people don't like, but hey, people don't like everything, I'm doing exactly what any fan does, discussing a topic of mutual interest.
and as for Verdugo, don't encourage him, he does this all the time. Cynicism and vulgarity become him, he's been like that for a while, nothing new there, this will just encourage him.
speaking as a gnome i'd be satisfied with more polygons/detail/facial expressions like they did with orcs/garosh (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gutV91fOWg). i'd rather they didn't change any existing animations but i'd love some new ones for different skills.
ofcourse if we get some more customization i won't sneeze at that.
Improvement in overal smoothness, customizability and texture detail. Anything beyond that is probably not going to happen.
But you said earlier : Goood news, Tauren are getting a huge upgrade, you'll love the new model, their faces are very expressive, think of an improved worgen. They wish they had this tech going when they initially did the worgen males.
This implies you have seen it does it not? This is why I said you have no credibility. You state something like that as a fact and have nothing to back it up with. I could be wrong and that you were merely stating your opinion on what you think the models will be rather than implying you've seen them.
It would be neat if they had some kind of "battle hardened" look where your character ages... for instance after you beat death wing the lines in your face get a little deeper, hair gets a little greyer, armor has a more "used" look, etc. Also, new casting animations. If the human casting animations looked half as cool as the forsaken, I'd be happy.
hands that don't look monstrous, and wrists.
also more lithe male draenei like all the artwork shows them as, not ARNULD level roid-beasts.
ah good point , I should watch my language more carefully. I should have said. Well expect good news, Tauren should be getting a huge upgrade, I'm wiling to bet you'd love the new model.
afterall, surely we can expect a huge improvement in the new models, but whether the othe rperson would find them good news is highly subjective as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I'm hopeful, I encourage the person to be hopeful.. but maybe i shoudln't really be doing that.
