I just came back from a month or so break and am having a little difficulty getting back into the swing of things. I feel like my rotation has gotten very sloppy and I'd love to get some other eyes on my logs. Please note, in 1 raid week I upgraded from Full ToT HM gear to what my character has now, and I have bear gear on for Dark Shamans (fail). Also this is my first time since beta really seeing any of this content, and sorta dove right in to some hard modes.

It seems your opener is a bit weird. It seems it takes you about 20 seconds to get your first Rip up. Since you are DoC and got the set bonus consider using this opener: http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...1#post23074771

I didn't have my 4p till the end of the raid (pants was last piece), but I'll certainly do that. I assume the 3 CP work like normal CP and dont fade, so is it possible to start a fight w/ 5 cp on the boss?

Generating combo points on a target puts you in combat so if you do TF + SR before pull, then you will ninja pull. However, just do as the post describes and you will end up with a TF + DoC + Potted + Likely double trinketed Rip in one GCD. On thok it seems you have very large downtime in the blood phase. I don't know how you kite him but if you do like we do you can basically sit on the boss 100% even in the blood phase, see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb_fB...d6gAtQ8bA#t=87

Overall you are doing good. Seems you have high uptimes on bleeds and SR. I'm a bit surprised that you aren't doing more damage. Do you have a good bleed tracker so you know when to overwrite your bleeds?

I have weakauras to show releative bleed strengths for overwrites. Thok I was told to twiddle my thumbs in blood phase... but next week I'm gonna chase the boss and tear him a new one.

That's risky because Thok is capable of spinning around the moment he picks a new fixate target (i.e. the moment the red line appears). He usually doesn't do it, and it's probably a bug, but it is something that can happen and I've seen it kill a fair number of unwary melee. To be safe, you'd want to be out of melee range at this point -- basically a few seconds after the previous fixate ends.

Hmm, has never happened to me. I always make sure that whatever new target he picks he will never have to turn such that his head is swiping over me. Until it happens I'll just sit on him :P
