    warlordsofdraenor.com very suspicious

By using developer tools in chrome you are able to inspect webpages. Doing this on the warlordsofdraenor.com doesn't really give much, but looking at the network traffic reveals this.

Now why would mmo-champion appear in network details about a blizzard site?

Because that's where you came from.

It's in there because you clicked it FROM mmo-champion. If you go to a website by clicking a link on another website it always includes where it came from. That's how HTTP basically works. Nothing special here, sorry.

Because the link you clicked to get there was this website. if you post a link to worldsofdraenor.com to say facebook then it would list facebook as the refferrer
My channel: Shirgadirth I used to do let's play's but now I do reviews, but not very often. Far too busy from school. Also too poor to buy games :P

Well it says referrer, so I would imagine that's implying that its the site that brought/linked you to warlordsofdraenor.com.

I really wish you had come from a dirty site. It would've made this whole thread worth it!

    No, it's not that.
Referrer parameter allows websites to track the origin of inbound traffic.
OP has obviously clicked a link in the MMOC forum and doesn't know what referrer is. Funny stuff.

Not true in the least bit. A referrer is only sent if you click a link; if you just type an address in, no referrer is sent, but the back button still functions.
Looking for Raid: you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Come - we must be cautious.

That would have been awesome. "Why is this site affiliated with a multinational child abduction and resale site that I totally had to google to find out what it was?"

Unfortunately, it's just a minor embarrassment that we'll forget long before he does.
