I wouldn't. It could have been, but Blizzards kinda made time the domain of the Mage now.

I suspects a basis for an additional spec may be more likely

Timewalkers are a faction, not a class.

You mean like Death Knights? They are both a class and a faction (Knights of the Ebon Blade).

I'm not saying this is real, but the Timewalkers were conveniently given three separate roles, and they were coincidentally seeded in the final patch of the current expansion. The chance of them being a new class, likely a Hero class, is significant.

Well, that is actually TCG art for a Timewalker, I believe. They use all kinds of sets for characters in TCG art, so that's not uncommon or strange.

Seriously though, what would a timewalker even do? Reverse everyone's actions in a PVP arena so you can go back to the start? pause everyone in a AV so you can run around in frozen time? Time travel into the future of a fight to see who died? [hint: it's your arena team that died because you skipped the fight]
It makes NO sense as a premise for a MMO.

I'm fairly sure if they were to make a new class they'd make another Mail user. That way we'd have at least three classes per armor type!
