Death Knight X-Mog Question?

Okay - Im consulting you guys. My lack of a place to start is getting me no where.

I'd like to ask if you guys know any DK sets that can be farmed solo or are just common. Something with a sword pref, and something that is either Blue Black or Red Black (Red Black would be Blood Set).

They seem too... meant to be in my eyes. I like sets that are compiled of different tiers and such. Shows effort. :/

Gonna have to disagree with you on the "shows effort" bit. lol

Well another thing you could do if you're willing to install it is use the MogIt addon (Curse page). This will let you put together a set, piece-by-piece, while being able to see it on your character. It's where I find most of my transmog stuff.

try the warlord's set. more of a female dk set. its 'revealing'.
i believe wowhead has a section of all sets.

as for a sword, try farming the legendary from icc. ' insert name'.

This is more purple than blue, but I cobbled this one together from a myriad of different pieces:


Helm: Acherus Knight's hood (DK starting gear)
Shoulders: Brutal gladiator's Dreadplate shoulders (Burning Crusade PvP set)
Chest: Thick Obsidian breastplate (AQ BS crafted item)
Shirt (important): Master builder's shirt (drop from boss in BRD)
Gloves: Brutal Gladiator's dreadplate gauntlets (same source as shoulders)
Belt: Bogslayer belt (BC world drop green)
Legs: Necrotic Boneplate Greaves (normal mode Dragon Soul)
Feet: Vicious gladiator's warboots of cruelty (sadly unobtainable now)
Cape: Cloak of untold secrets (temple of Ahn'Qiraj)
Sword: Endbringer (Heroic Underbog)

Doesn't get more spliced together than that.

Sorrow Plate, the DPS version from the Hour of Twilight heroics is nice looking dark red set, even though it has considerable amount of gold trim. I would pair it with a Doombringer

Get the red DK off-set.

Mix it with some pieces from the Dragon Soul 5-mans that are also red.

I've always thought the T11 DK set looked amazing. Both in blue (normal) and heroic (orange). Its got a suitably evil look.

When I was farming for mog sets, it really never hurt to bring in extra people. Just use the group finder, and only accept classes that don't use plate gear. If you get 1 of each armor type (or if you want tokens, don't take people on your token), you can put together a farm group in about 2 minutes and everyone gets what they want. It also makes most places a cakewalk.

T10 DK set is available in both Blue and Red if you want a theme for DPS and Tank.

To the OP, if you're looking for a weapon for the red set, Fel Iron Greatsword might work for you.
