Got a new monitor. WoW is nearly unplayable.

I'm at a loss for words. I went from my 6 year old 24" Syncmaster 245BW to an ASUS 24" 1m response time 144HZ monitor. I played with a couple settings to make it look good and it worked perfectly for about two days (in every other game). I went to play WoW and the first pull of the first raid since the new monitor I was at below 10 FPS. And my framerate just in game when not raiding is still very low. My specs are below:

Graphics Card: GTX670 FTW Edition Factory Superclocked
Processor: i7-3770k @ 3.5GHz
(let me know if anything else is needed)

Things I've tried:

-messing around with NVIDIA control panel settings
-defragmented disk drives
-tried old monitor
-tried lowest settings in WoW
-tried ending all processes besides anything necessary
-disabling all addons
-deleting WTF/Cache folders
-reinstalled graphics driver

Other info:

-this only affects WoW

hmm never heard of a monitor affecting frames like that. Did you mybe knock your vid card loose when you plugged it in?

Yeah I doubt that it is actually the monitor causing the FPS problems, being that the monitor doesn't do anything but display the image that the GPU renders.

did you reinstall gpu drivers after switching monitors?

Monitors don't do that. All it does is showing what your gfx spits out to it.

I know it probably has nothing to do with the monitor.
I haven't tried reinstalling drivers yet (but I did update them) so maybe I just need to do a clean reinstall of the drivers?

It's just weird because WoW is the only game that is having issues.

edit: I should probably getting more framerates if anything because I went from 1920x1200 to 1920x1080

Try unchecking the foreground and background frame limit in wow's system panel.
You should also try to put the new monitor into 60hz refresh rate since wow uses an old engine. I think the fact that your hardwares and new monitor are capable of rendering 144 frames + old Wow engine might be the cause of this.

That's... Odd... You might want to check your drivers, EVGA releases patches for specific games and the WoW patch might have been jacked up.

So I should be updating my drivers through EVGA? I always just update my drivers through NVIDIA.

Oh my god. Most embarrassing moment of my life when I realize I switched my computer to power savings mode the other day. Looked for similar issues and the first post in this thread summed it up.
