    PC Upgrade

    Hello,
I'm thinking about upgrading my PC a little, this is what I've got:

CPU: Intel Core i3-2120 LGA1155 BOX
    MoBo: Asrock H61DE/S3 Intel H61 LGA1155
    GPU: MSI ATI Radeon HD6850 1GB DDR5/256bit DVI/HDMI/DP PCI-Express (ver.OC)
    PSU: Chieftec (GPS-450AA-101A)
    RAM: Goodram DDR3 1x4GB 1333MHz CL9

I mainly play games like WoW or Battlefield and my budget is around $200. I was looking at some CPUs and i5-3550P was recommended to me. What do you guys think? Worth it?

Not worth it. I'd suggest going with an H81 Board and i3-4330. It should hit right around $180 or so, and be a sizeable upgrade from the i5-3550P

Note that it would likely require an OS reinstallation.

I wanted to switch to i5 mainly for the additional 2 cores, wouldn't that be a waste to switch to another CPU with 2 cores?

2 cores + HT... The 3.5ghz Haswell i3 is definitely faster, and better, than an Ivy i5 that caps out at 3.2ghz.
