just got asus gtx 780 but BF4 optimizes low?

    General Information
    •Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost)
    •GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
    •G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
•went from ASUS GTX 560 to ASUS GTX 780
    • Antec EarthWatts EA750 750W Continuous Power ATX12V version 2.3 SLI Certified CrossFire
    •Windows 7
    •1920 x 1080

    Video Problems
•NVIDIA recommends low settings on BF4 after I just installed the new ASUS GTX 780. I was under the impression I could run BF4 on high/ultra with this new GPU. I originally had the ASUS GTX 560 OCd and it was actually preforming better than this new GPU. Did I miss something? I didn't uninstall the old driver because its the same make/brand. I was told it wouldn't hurt nothing. The temp on the GPU is 29C on when not gaming... so... I don't know what is going on.

Try reinstalling Nvidea drivers or newest driver

did you ignore the recommendations and try it on high settings anyway?
I don't think this matters nearly as much as you think it does.

Yes, it runs like crap. You could tell something was wrong because the graphics looked choppy with little detail.

I fixed it. I uninstalled the previous drivers and reinstalled the new. my bad.. I guess it doesn't matter if its the same brand/make.

Update your drivers look up some BF4 optimizing videos apply them and you will see the light!

I have 3 Crossfire Asus HD7970 cards and even I got told by BF4 to use low settings!

    - - - Updated - - -

FYI don't expect 500 series drivers to work for a 700 series card big difference in two generations

While this drivers thread is sorta up i need to ask a question. I went from a 6780 to a 7870 OC and it seems that the drivers are exactly the same. I went to the amd website and put my details in along with the card type and when i downloaded the drivers i got a (1) next to the name. So it seems they are the same.

But i didnt reinstall drivers when installing the new video card. Will there be any problems?

Also not realizing any performance increases in any of my games with this new video card :S

all nvidia cards use the same drivers, later cards just aren't added for support in older versions..

It is recommended that you properly uninstall your drivers when running a new card, even from the same company (AMD).
    8700K (5GHz) - Z370 M5 - Mugen 5 - 16GB Tridentz 3200MHz - GTX 1070Ti Strix - NZXT S340E - Dell 24' 1440p (165Hz)

That and also if you are not noticing any improvements in your games, it could be that your system is bottle necked somewhere else. What is the rest of your specs and what games are you referring too?

you need to uninstall the old 560 drivers. Download and install 780 drivers and you will be good to go. I have the asus 780 DirectCUII as well with the same temps and at 1980x1200 i get over 100 FPS with BF4 running at complete max settings.

I get 80-90 FPS on all MAXED settings running with:
    I5 4670k 4.4Ghz
    MSI 760 Gaming

So getting 100 FPS with a 780 is not unreal

Yes, i'm sure you get double the framerate than every review conducted by professionals.
Stop making stuff up, it's not helping anyone.

780 is like twice the power of a 760... Regardless you cannot use the full power of a 780 unless you have an i7 in BF4. The Game is so CPU heavy that an i5 is completely maxed out for the game.

Getting 85-95% CPU usage while only 60-85% GPU usage with i5-2500k @ 4.3 GHz and GTX 580. Game runs at a solid 60 FPS with everything at low apart from Mesh which is at High.

TL;DR: You need an i7 to not bottleneck BF4.

but you dont need an I7 to get great fps in BF4, im running a 780 and an FX 8350 and i have no problems with getting 55-80 fps.

Your 8350 is a 8 core CPU optimized to work very well on the BF4 engine, I would be surprised If your 8350 did not run that game well :P

I know right. The point was you dont need an i7 to run the balls off of BF4. I just got the 8350 a couple months ago and ive been looking at performance numbers for quite a while from different sources. It amazes me how this processor actually performs BETTER now than it did when it came out, and unless im looking at the way things are going wrong, i think with consoles using 8-core processors the 8350 is going to continue to get better and better since devs SHOULD be optimizing for multicore/threading now.

    Pretty much yeah.
Also windows 8.1 have some amazing optimization for 4+ cores, I'd say your 8350 would benefit greatly.
