How would you like to see wow changed?

I dont know how to word the title so I will just let you know what I mean.

For the leveling I would like to see wow dropped down to 40 levels. You would level 30 on regular azaroth and for the next 10 levels you can choose the area from any of the expansions so you wouldnt have to go through all of the expansion zones and the levels stay maxed out at 40, every expansion would just add a new place to go to at 30. I dont think it would be to hard with the number crunch that will be coming up in WOD.

For mounts at 10 you get basic riding, at 20 you get epic riding, at 30 you get flying and what ever expansion content you want to level through and at 40 you get epic flying. In response to the flying I would like to see flight points replaced with portals which go to the same locations the fp's go to. I feel it would take less time I wouldnt have to deal with giving change at every fp I come across when using the fp and it would validate flying.

For gear you would get basic quest gear till you get to 40 then from there you get basic looking or blank looking stat gear set that you get with the tokens you get from its general instance. Example you get normal dungeon stat set from normal dungeons heroic set from heroic dungeons, the different difficulty raid set from the raid difficulty it comes from. Same with pvp sets from honor and conquest set from arenas and rbg's. All the gear style sets would be transmog, like grievous gladiator or tier 14 wouldn't have stats. There would be no looking to replace your gear with better gear(unless of course you have the honor or dungeon sets) and I feel it would make balancing easier. Yes this would remove being able to solo old raids but I think the hard core raiders might not have a problem with that.

Yes I know Blizz would probably have to make a completely new game from ground up but that is what I would like to see out of wow, what would you like? Maybe you have a better idea of what you would like to see wow change to.

In here before "Removal of Cash Shop", just putting that out there.

I'd like to see more things like the Netherwing/ Cloud Serpent grind, and less focus on "Get 100000 Timeless Coins for a Lava Lamp dragon". I like investment of effort and time, not just senseless grinding. Heres looking at you, Wrathion.

I'm sure the MMO DB can handle such. Though budget where you can. TL: DR is an awful thing.

I'd like to join a 3rd faction. Something all-inclusive like the Argent Dawn or Earthen Ring.

I'm tired of the contrived Horde v. Alliance thing.

I'd have to agree with the caveat of more Netherwing and less Cloud Serpent. Infiltrating an orc encampment and stealing ore seemed a little more exciting than scooping baby serpent poop.

    The hatchling was adorable, however.

I don't like any of that. Leveling takes only a couple of hours until you are in current content... not that big a deal. I would rather change the way bonus coins worked.

Make it so you can only obtain one bonus coin a week but you can use it in any dungeon or raid for a guaranteed personal loot drop. As an aside it turns the loot table upside down for the roll. For instance, if something only has a 2% drop normally it will have a 98% drop for the bonus roll.

Still upset I've still never seen an Ashes of Al'ar drop... stupid RNG.

In many, many ways. To be honest most of my suggestions would require an entirely new MMO but here goes anyway:
    > Constantly changing world. Each zone's story would be split into several chapters, with the new chapters being unlocked by realm wide progression. Think Isle of Quel'danis on a global scale, for every zone. New chapters would be added in patches.
    > Random events. Not the dynamic events of GW2 which seek to supplant questing but instead events that supplement questing. Each zone would be split into several event areas with each area having a pool of several random events to choose from, 2 or 3 of which would play at once. These wouldn't be the objectives of any quests, but you'd get extra rewards for completing them. Each event area would have (if my maths is correct) over 50 different possible event combinations to go with your quests.
    > More exploration. Hidden little events and treasure troves, dozens of them in every zone.
    > Removal of the two main factions. PvP revolves around Guild vs. Guild combat (with capturable forts) and temporary factions. So for example you can choose to join either the Argent Dawn or the Scarlet Crusade in the EPLs (just as a poorly thought out example.), but you could still be friends with someone on the opposite side outside of that conflict.
    > Remove levelling. This is important. Introduce a skill and story based progression system and open up the world to be explored in the order that I want. Don't make me feel like I'm being rushed through a zone.
    > Every player should have a reasonable shot at completing the main story. Dangling Illidan or the Lich King or whoever in my face for an entire continent and then locking the climax behind a strict raiding schedule is annoying. Introduce end game dungeons that are easily accessible so they require skill not time. Have hardcore raiding revolve around side stories (but still epic side stories) with attunement quest lines.
    > No subscription fee. Pay for the disk and the game should be yours. Expand the cash shop with cosmetic items and maybe introduce optional DLC content for £10-£15.
    > Personal story similar to GW2. Aimed at solo players for when we feel like playing on our own. And when we don't...
    > Encourage socialisation. No more mob tagging, everyone gets their own loot, easier grouping up.

    Whew...

Like I said in a previous post, bring back some grind.

I'm fine with how accessible raiding is; I'm not saying that there should be a grind just to get gear that is needed for raiding. But bring it back in another form, like reputation, or something else that actually gives something rewarding. I think that MMORPGs should reward time commitment: an opinion that is greatly falling.

Well the leveling would be stretched out, it would take the same amount of time to get from 1 to 40 as it would to get from 1 to 90.

Another thing I forgot. No character stats from leveling, so if a level 1 wanted to dual a level 40 without gear the level 1 could still win.

I'd also like a Karma system to encourage good player interactions. Not an RPG "good vs evil" system, but a system which allows players to award each other points for being nice to one another. You can then spend these points on items like pets and mounts, maybe even gear and weapons. Even if this would just start out with people shutting up to get their rewards I think it would eventual foster a genuinely positive attitude along with some of the changes I mentioned above like the lack of mob tagging.

Then again... what's the point of the change if there is no difference?

No more store mounts and pets or a way to obtain them in-game without paying extra.
Atoms are liars, they make up everything!
