<Casually Hardcore> was founded February 2014 by Hyperbole, Bulan and Loifur with the vision of a guild for the hardcore player on a casual schedule. We are situated on the Ravencrest realm and we play as alliance. Ravencrest is an alliance-heavy realm with a very healthy population (often full, but queues are rare).

    Raid schedule

    • Tuesday: 7PM - 11PM
    • Wednesday: 7PM - 11PM
    • Sunday: 7PM - 11PM

    (All times are servertime, GMT+1)

    What are we recruiting?

    • A tank
    • Healers
    • Melee
    • Ranged

We got a long way to go and right now we're in need of every soul who thinks this is a guild for them!

    Our goal

The goal of Casually Hardcore is to create a home for the players housing a hardcore attitude but who have a limited time schedule. We strive to perfect our play, using the time we have to the fullest, to eventually rise to the top of three days a week raiding. Obviously we realize a completely new guild won’t get near the top overnight. We believe in patience and persistence though. Therefore, our most realistic and important goal is to always improve. Every tier, we shall climb the progression ladder. With blood, sweat, tears and by not compromising the standard of our recruits, we will make it.

    Guild standard

We want our guild to constitute of experienced raiders with a history of tackling hardcore content. We want players who strive for perfection, the kind of player who’s never happy being second. Our raiders shall min-max their characters and their play. Analyzing their mistakes and always finding ways to improve. A raider in Casually Hardcore questions themselves before others when they die in a fight. We want them to ask “What did I do wrong?” instead of “must’ve been a bug”. In addition to all this we ask of our raiders to behave like adults. Do not act like a child, you represent the guild.

The ideal raider in Casually Hardcore is a passionate, experienced raider who would love to raid 7 days a week but can’t because of real life. Either because of studies, work or family.

If you fit this description and if you bring the skills, the attitude and your passion for the game, we will provide you with a permanent home in World of Warcraft.

    Guild structure

Casually Hardcore’s leadership has several years of experience leading both guilds and raids. We are passionate and we aim to embody the standards of the guild. We believe in good communication, transparency where it fits and above all, good communication with the guild.

For loot distribution we use a loot council comprising of the guild’s officers. We aim for fair distribution of loot and we see loot mainly as a way to further progress and second as a personal reward for raiding. Performance, dedication and biggest upgrade are some of the factors we use when giving out loot. All in all we want the loot council to be as transparent as possible.

Evaluating trials properly is something that is very important to us. We treat trials like we do raiders, with respect and dignity. A trial period should be kept as short as possible with several updates on the trial’s progress. We want to give real feedback, thus we spend a lot of time looking at logs to find real arguments for whether you fit the guild or not. We aim to check up on each of our trials at least once a week. Preferably over VoIP where we can share our thoughts about the trial and where the trial gets a chance to evaluate his/her own performance as well.

We aim to keep a healthy roster, meaning a roster able to ensure good progress and minimize time spent on the bench. Our current goal is set on about 24-26 raiders in Warlords of Draenor. This will obviously be slightly larger during our recruitment in late Mists of Pandaria. We see this as a chance to really evaluate who should be part of our raiding team in Warlords.

    The plan

The first thing we’re doing is recruiting raiders to start 10m raiding. While raiding 10m we’re going to keep on recruiting promising players eventually moving into 25m once we have a roster to support it. During this transition we’re going to try out trials at the highest capacity the raid size supports. We’re looking to get to a roster of about 30-32 players before 6.0, at which point we will keep our best 24-26 raiders. We’re preparing to farm SoO HC a couple of months before WoD, giving enough time to learn to play together as a team and get enough heirlooms for everybody to go around.
