I wanna gear up alt to get challenge mode gold, what is best way to gear?

There's really no gearing for CMs, since it normalizes your gear at a 463 ilvl. You can gear for ideal stats, but that's about it.

This. But there are pieces you want more than others

-haste breakpoints are pretty much out of your reach entirely
-gem slots a great, the more you can get the better. Gemslots are counted in the stat budget, but when the stats are scaled down gems are not
-Pure stats tend to dominate over secondary at 463
-Tiers bonuses DO NOT WORK
-any legendary items DO NOT WORK. This does not include the Eye of the Black Prince extra gemslot, but does include the sha gem, meta gem and cloak.
-trinkets are nerfed.

Really everything good is from ToT, but getting full 463 gear works as well since you can better practice when your stats wont be altered. Engineering helm is also badass

You can't gear for challenge modes, as was already explained the iLvl of your gear will be scaled down. Min/maxing your stats, gems, and trinkets isn't going to make or break your gold run.

Strategy and coordination are how to get gold.

No, Timeless gear is crap overall - you get random items with random stats.. Unless you get shitton of tokens and roll them until you get good items (no 1 stat items etc)

For CMs though - everything with good stats will work - dungeon blues, LFR items etc.. Just take those that have good stats and as many sockets as possible.
