The method he used to fake having WoD is a method that you can use to actually obtain Heroes of the Storm, which is why I won't/can't talk further about it.

The battle.net app thinks he has WoD, but the Blizzard servers legitimately don't have the files, so it doesn't matter. In the case of Heroes, getting the app to think you have Heroes of the Storm works because the Blizzard servers do have the files.

Kinda weird that these types of threads are still allowed. There has never been a leak like this before with WoW. Why even permit this shit? Haven't people seen yet that Blizzard does an incredible job to prevent leaks?

I have seen a few mods close threads over the past few days that literally broke absolutely no rules at all whatsoever and actually had potential for friendly civil discussion and yet they leave open 50000 threads on how the Blizzard store is ruining gaming.

Why do people assume it's fake? Maybe its true since it looks true? Ask him if he can link an in game screenshot since he has access to the WoD beta. If he was unable to provide that, then it is fake. So far I'm skeptical but it could be a bug and that he actually managed to get WoD beta ahead of anyone else.
