    Very Budget Laptop

    Hi again guys!

Now I've got a bit of a tricky one here, I've got a friend with a budget of £250-£300 to buy a laptop. His main requirement is that it'll run Football Manager and be able to do e-mail, browsing etc smoothly. At that budget I've pretty much just been searching around ebay. Desktop is out of the question due to space limitations.

This is the search I've been using, http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/PC-Laptops...&_nkw=&_sop=15 and looking at that, I don't know much about the lower spec intel chips and have always looked to AMD for budget in the past, the one that sticks out to me is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Fast-A...item2a38200f1f running an AMD A4-5000 APU.

Looking for advise and suggestions around that model and alternatives, thanks!

But I never heard of Advent laptops. I would go for Lenovo myself.
    PM me weird stuff :3

I'm going to guess the Lenovo is an Intel Celeron? Aren't the AMD APU's onboard graphics normally more powerful than Intels onboard? Also, I'm not sure how the specs compare and whether the price for the Lenovo factors in that the HP AMD one I linked has a slightly larger screen. I think what I'm trying to ask is what makes the Lenovo better? Comparing specs they seem very similar.

I'm not trying to push for the HP, but just want to work out why the intel is better. From what I can see from comparing the specs, the AMD is quad core vs Intels Duel core and the amd is about 2 inches larger in screen size. But yeah, I'm not sure if the Intel chip is a newer architecture than the AMD.

Reall, if you have a Budget this low, you shouldnt be aiming at Laptops, or you´ll get utter crap. There are quite small Desktops available, for example from acer.

He doesn't want it to do much apart from run smoothly and be able to play Football Manager, so to get something utter crap for that use would be difficult I think. And yeah, desktop isn't an option. As much as you can make a small desktop, it's more of a space in his home for a desk and chair.
