Hated it when I was younger because it was a weird name but as I got older i started to enjoy it more because its unique and I like to think that I put my own personal stamp on it.

my given name was Matthew, my legal name (for the last 4+ years) is Melanie Dawn means darkness~first light of day... kinda like my transition. I lived a lie (in darkness) for SO many years, and now that I am out and living the way i was supposed to, it's like a new day, bright and full of promise...
