Hello, I've been having problems with details, Although I'm not sure when it started since I don't mess around with the options too often.
First of all the entire options panel is blank for me. Like I open the window for it and there's just nothing in the left column.
Second, I get a popup window labeled "Please read carefully" every time I login which is just a grey window with those words on it.
I have tried the /details reinstall command, as well as removing every file associated with details in my wow folder and re-downloading it but still get these problems.
If you have some insight on what's going on with this that would be great.

This is very likely an error happening on some script.
Catching errors is pretty simple and this let me fix the issue very quickly, just install http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/bug-grabber and http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/bugsack
BugGrabber get errors and bugsack place a green icon at your minimap, when an error happens, this icon turns to red and you may click on it and copy the error lines. There is a "previous" and "next" buttons on the BugSack window, take a look if any error has "Details" on the line error.
Thank you.

I'm getting an error when the window pops up and when I open the options. Do you want me to copy/paste them here?

Sounds like a framework problem which we've got recently, take a look at this addon list, if you have any of them installed, update it to latest version, after that, reopen the WoW client and see if the problem still happen.

Wow .. just wow I just recently started using Details. I used recount before, then skada and now well details and I quiet like it. The bookmarks are quiet handy.
Like the ways to analyze a fight for Players like me who don't run logs and/or ERT all the time. giving a good overview and besides some of the option windows its easy to use and intuitive. Still haven't found a good text layout for a chat embedded dual setup tho. But the bookmarks make it so quick that I can run only a single window.
2 Questions tho, for the two damage setups.
If you're running damage that doesn't stop updating after death (im sorry forgot how both of the settings are called) is there a way to see uptime of certain players rather quickly on a hover? So I don't have to go thru the timeline and take a guess?
And for the other option is it possible that the Players who died and whos dmg stopped (no update after death setting) to let them drop to the bottom of the list and/Or grey them out. So one can see quicker how much dmg we lost to the death?
On a side note, had a tiny issue with the Raid-Icon that tells me about food buffs, flasks runes and so on. It was hidden after a reload inside the raid and popped up again after the next reload. Also the Tooltip window that should've guided me through the Raid analyze tools (the tooltip that pops up over the damage meters window) stayed even after I took a tour and I coudln't hit the X because I already had embedded the meters to the elvui Chat and half of the Tooltip window got hidden outside wow. Don't know if its because I run a dual monitor setup, wow still in fullwindow mode.
1) I don't think so, you can see activity time through Custom -> Damage Activity.
2) Unfortunately no, sorry.
Interesting issues, I don't debug too much those tutorials, sometimes bugs happen with them.
If you ran into those problems again, please take a screenshot so I can see exactly what's going on.
Thank you for the feedback.

That's even more odd. But I'm pretty sure the culprit wasn't Details!.

Great addon, can only imagine how much time went into it. Couldn't find the data broker option at first but I found it now.

Hi, first off it looks pretty neat feature and config wise, great job!
Is it possible to have spells with the same name show up as one entry? In this case the frost and nature variants of Chimaera Shot?
These meters are amazing. I am having a problem though - my config menu is blank. I cannot increase font sizes or anything, and the default is just a little too small for me.

Also, is there a feature where you can have a meter only display damage done to the boss at say 30%, or a certain phase?
Unfortunately no, sorry, Details! handle spells by the spell ID, this allows us to separate the damage of each effect of a spell.

Options panel not opening might be an old issue with the framework, look to this addon list, if you have any of them installed, just update it to its latest version:

Yes, after an encounter, click on the Encounter Details plugin button, go the the 2nd tab (the graphical tab), look the the time line it has colors indicating each phase of the encounter, hover over and it shows the damage / healing, also you may click-to-report.

One thing I noticed after importing Details is that, after each time I log onto a Character for the first time (after installing details) the Layout / Look of my Unit Frames changed to a different one.
I'm using elvUi and Addonskins as Base. So details is adding more bar textures to the set and maybe thats why it gets confused or something. It's totally fine after setting the right Bar texture again.
Yeah I thought it couldn't since it is such a special case that presumably would require a new sequence of handling the data. But i had to ask since it has quite a lot of features build in.
Sadly Details also substantially impacts performance for me so I have to disable it for some fights. Is there a way of disabling/enabling it or parsing, logging without relogging? The performance issues are mostly my ancient PCs fault and also caused by other parsing addons as skada, recount. Can't say which one is best or worst though since FPS are not consistent with or without it, just with they are lower by to much.
Odd behavior, most of addons uses the texture name, adding new textures shouldn't cause problem.

I'd say Details! is pretty fast and harmless to frame rate. You may try this addon: http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/addons-cpu-usage it tells you the CPU usage of your addons.

Thanks for the response Tercio. Ive tried around quite a bit also with the CPU Use addon but even though it says Details cpu time is quite low with WA being highest, only disabling Details makes a difference of about 7-10fps during highly active raid moments, like during bloodlust or Gorefiend feast phase. My PC is quite old and at the limit and I cant explain how it has that impact but sadly its enough to make it unplayable.
