I recently made a games you hate thread and hate is a strong word now its time for an old games you love thread.
for me it is Halo 2, Knights of The Old Republic, Mercenaries Playground of Destruction, Lord of the rings battle for middle earth anthology, Brute Force, Star Wars Battlefront , StarWars Bounty Hunter, Animal CrossingGamecube, Super Smash Bros. Original for N64, Starfox 64, Starfox Adventures, Conker's Bad Fur day Reloaded on Xbox hated the N64 controls only reason otherwise original is best.
I realize none of these games are ancient yet but most of them are over 10 years old and these are the games I grew up playing .

Many of these games mentioned here are what I term as "new" games.
In my view everything pre-Playstation 1 is an old game. Playstation 1 onwards are new games.
Post Windows 98 are new games.

Sir Robin, the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot.
Who had nearly fought the Dragon of Angnor.
Who had almost stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol.
And who had personally wet himself, at the Battle of Badon Hill.

I miss playing the old JRPGs of the past, especially during the PS and PS2 era.
Lunar, Lunar 2, Shadow Hearts, Shadow Hearts : Covenant are easily among the best RPGs ever made.

Grandia, i love it more than chrono trigger which i consider a masterpiece.
Cod has a new campaign, new weapons, new multiplayer levels every year. Zelda has been recycling the same weapons, villains, and dungeons since the 80's. Zelda recycles enough to make cod blush. The same weapons, villains, dungeons, and princess in every single Zelda for the most part. It's almost as cheesy as bowser vs Mario round 35

Threads of Fate from the PS1 era or if a bit older then I'd go with Lunar 1-2 on the Sega CD. I miss these older JRPGs and the only recent one that I really enjoyed was Ni No Kuni and to some extent Bravely Default.
