I like the Horde a lot more than the Alliance. I like the Alliance a lot too. If I worked with Warcraft, I would be happy to represent either.
I don't think Metzen and the rest at Blizzard care too much about the factions in that way that they devote their whole life into it. Sure, they might like Alliance more than Horde, or Horde more than Alliance in some way, but they all still like both the factions in their own way.
Some people just take this faction love far beyond of what it truly is.
Well, considering the fact that Blizz constantly finds ways to bash Alliance races during lore panels and that one year at Blizzcon where they played that video of the guy from the metal band calling Alliance players emo cocksuckers...yeah, I'm sure they just love the Alliance.
Look! Words!
Metzen should love all of his imaginary creations exactly and perfectly equal in exact measurement because that's how reality works and I find conspiracies that I'm especially the brunt of completely romantic and I love to be a part of them and I love to entertain them and I look forward to being paranoid and prone to much more confirmation bias warping my perception of reality in the future as I waste valuable neurons on even more knee jerk reactions and superficial stereotyping.
One day when the truth comes out Blizzard will have to pay all the Alliance players a million dollars or more for the secret ways they've held them back.

Based off the first episode, it seems they wanted people who physically look like they should represent the faction to represent them. Take the Horde guy for example, he's got long, wild hair, and he yells a lot. If that guy was representing the Alliance, it would just look strange. Blizzard is trying to portray the factions is the manner they want them to be seen. Chris Metzen just happens to be best suited for the Alliance in this one. I doubt him representing the Alliance has much to do with his personal feelings or bias against/for either faction.
Simply put, it looks like Blizzard is using a visual technique to make the factions more easily distinguished for a larger audience.
These people either solely hang out at wholesome neighborhood youth groups or they have never spent an evening among real people who use foul language without actually literally meaning the direct translation of the idioms and colorful metaphors they employ. But it makes for a great bit of context to twist and hide behind as one ignores context and cries oppression and offense.
I'm a heterosexual as it so happens who often finds the words of a homosexual named Stephen Fry quite appropriate in situations such as this. The sort of twee person who thinks swearing is in any way a sign of a lack of education or a lack of verbal interest is just a fucking lunatic.”

Of course once genitals enter into the equation any value as a figure of speech is forfeit, as someone might take it literally whose been oppressed in the past.
Taking foul language literally is a waste of time and frankly intellectually dishonest.

Because all the 10 year olds will cry if he was on the horde.

Does it matter? But just to clarify he play's on Alliance side, does the voice over for the King of Stormwind, several male human npc's and has stated on several interviews his love for Alliance lore, specifically druids. Count's as an ally in my book.
1/4th? Sorry I thought we had 3 tiers in Cataclysm, not 4... That would make Hyjal and the Firelands about a third of the expansion's content and story.
Regardless, that doesn't change the fact that Thrall and other non-Alliance Druid characters (such as Hamuul) featured more heavily in that section than Malfurion did. Saying I'm wrong doesn't make that untrue, so fuck off with your arrogance. There was a reason people hated the quest content that came with the Firelands patch, and it wasn't because they used Malfurion too much...
If someone says their favourite character is X, I would generally expect them to get more "screentime" than they did; especially when for 6 years they were in a coma and having no story dedicated to them.
