Advice on putting a 1960s moped on the road (UK)

Hi, i have this 1962 NSU Quickly 49cc moped which has been passed around the family for years and years, its been rebuilt a few times but never been properly insured for the road, well i want all that to change - i have a full driving license and a CBT, but i have no log book for the bike, i want to know how i go about getting an MOT for it and even insurance since the sites i looked on don't even list the bike.

(bike looks like this but basically new - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NSU-QUICKL...item3cd3cb9ac6)

Had no where else to go since i'm not part of any classic car forum, maybe someone knows a thing or two? Thanks
