Yes, to a certain extent. Exposure is how you overcome it.
No I can go outside just fine. I just choose not too.
Yep, severely so, and from the opening post of your thread i'm going with the fact you're self-diagnosing; Which is always bad, regardless, seek treatment.
Some people react better to CBT, or exposure therapy, or a mixture; It depends on the person and their treatment plan.
For example i'm currently on medication to help with it, amongst other things, and undergo CBT.
You should definitely seek professional help though.
If I'm with 2+ people I know well I'm okay in crowded places.
First I've heard of this. I have a little social anxiety, so the fear of open spaces seems a little hard for me to comprehend. :P
Yeah I have had this issue for a few years now, I used to love busy crowded places. Then my best friend died and I tool it really bad, pushed away my girlfriend and other friends and gradually withdrew away from everyone. I have been outside my door once since 2011 to move house. I just live with it tbh, I'm sure in time just like it appeared it will go away. I think a lot of it is down to confidence and such, and if you try to find a little confidence in yourself I'm sure it would be much easier for you.
when i went to college i used to hate going outside, it was mostly due to anxiety. to get past it i used a combination of forcing myself to do it as well as getting older.
My sister has had it for years now, and trying to get help is just a pita especially when she doesn't want to get "better". It's hard for a lot of people to comprehend and they say shit like "snap out of it", but witnessing it first hand shows that it's not that easy.
Seek medical advice, but really push for it, you are just another statistic to them so it's up to you to make sure they give you the help you need.
I don't have any phobia's, except maybe that I dislike big hairy spiders.
And when I'm drunk I'm afraid of heights, I know this because me and my mates used to climb onto things when drunk and bored. Getting above is easy, back down again is tricky.
no I'm not
the only thing I can't stand are spiders without hair, I'm totally fine with tarantulas, because they're big hairy cuties, but those black hairless ones uuughhh
What the hell is agora?
I get feverish when going to crowded places for too long. I seem to process a lot of information at a time and I can't cope with it for long periods. No idea if it's just my autism or if I'm agoraphobic to be honest.
Well in that case, i don't have fear of anything but i hate everything (mostly).
No, I am not scared of fighting.
I'm petrified of agoras.
All those Greeks trying to shove karpouzi and feta in my face
