Community Project - fast minimalist UI,default enhanced.

Greatings to all UI crazy players.

I am starting a project to build a community endorsed, player tested and validated UI that will meet the following requirements:

    General requirements
    - lightweight UI
    - excellent raid performance
    - excellent pvp performance
    - no frills useless cosmetics
    - all important player info should be clearly visible (player types are: dps , healer, tank , Raid Leader)

    Unit Requirement
The unit Frame should be as close to default as possible.
The player/target should be easy to read for HP/Mana (current default bars are too small imho).
The UI should give a clear overview of the raid and buff debuffs.

Any addon that facilitate seeing procs/debuffs is ok, as long as it meets the generals requirements.

To the community, what I need from you:
-Advise on addon describing what it does and why it should be in this UI.
    -Suggest improvements
-Suggest design improvements and addon placements and why
-Vote addon up and down to add the UI.

Once I have gathered enough feedback, I will build the UI, do any coding necessary and submit it for testing and approval.

    Please note:
I am not trying or interested in rebuilding an elvui/tukui clone.

Have you checked the default ingame UI lately? It fills all those requirements if you add the option to move bars anywhere and allow scaling of player/target frames.

Indeed and the default is not yet "there"

    Issues:

Unit Frame are too small for health for instance. That is the reason why different Unitframes are used in tournament.
Bars: covered in useless art, mini menu can be replaced with a menu and bars left as bars for players
raid leader info: plenty of info missing (players missing buffs is one of them), raid CD availability etc...
The current display for runes on the unitframe is entirely inadequate (feedback from top pve DK players on beta).

Player and target frame can be scaled but as soon as you do that, you have big enough bars but massive useless portraits with it.

    and more.

The default UI is useable but really not optimal for high level play.

Reason is having bars big enough that spectators can see. Players can see smaller bars just fine, especially if you use raid style bars for party.

Art can be turned off with zero overhead macros using default UI. Being able to move bars where you like would be important.

Yep, raid leading tools is something that are most lacking in default UI, but it's also something most players will never need. Buff tracking is massively improved lately with the default 8 buff display btw where you can see who has done what buff and which ones are still missing.

I also dislike combo point display and the holy power display. Alt power bars is indeed something which is a problem in default UI.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I have found a lightweight addon that can remove art and change the menu buttons to a filesystem type menu.

Regarding the unitframes, I cannot "see" the health easily in player/target frames, so unfortunately for guys with an eyesight like mine, it wont do. I need to be able to "guess" my current health without actually staring at the unitframe. So a suggestion for a default looking unitframe with bigger health bars would be welcome.

Any suggestion on a light addon for Raid CDs with timers?
For procs I think a limited set of tellmewhen config should do the trick.

If you want a premade one. It's the most lightweight and cpu friendly from the "out of the box" ones,if i remember right.

Also, I always kept an eye on these uis because of them being so lightweight. You might wanna take a look on which addons they are using for those things.

For thinktank ui there's this video as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73z45gyIvLQ

If you download the packages you will find some awesome and lightweight addons that you could probably use in your ui.

Write your own oUF layout/download one (i.e. oUF_Phanx) - or build one with StUF/Discord/Whatever and you have all the informations you need and HOW you need them in your UFs.
    oh, honey.

In addition to my initial post if you could make this to work i think it would be the best option for raid cooldowns.

    As well as Wildbreath

Those are the addon authors i usually prefer.

As for procs,i've always preferred clcinfo.
On several cpu testings i had done at the start of MoP,i recreated my ui with the most lightweight addons(based all around memory, garbage collection and small amount of CPU time)it was performing better than ifilger(not an Ace based addon). It is mainly based on your code tho.
    This is the addon:
