    List of Desirable Equipment Modifiers?

One problem I have always had with Diablo is what makes an item better than the one I currently have. The green/red stat text helps a little but is not always reliable. I was wondering if there is a list that shows what modifiers (main stat, vit, socket, crit%, etc.) are optimum for each equipment slot.

For instance I know that helms and weapons always need to have a socket to make them "better". What four/five things should I always be looking for when choosing new equipment. And what modifiers are absolute garbage (gold/globe radius pickup for example)

Gold/globe pickup radius is useful for some builds, every stat is good pretty much apart from +exp or things like 1% to fear on hit.

The desirable modifiers depends heavily on the build you're using. What class are you playing/build are you striving for?

Current main is a wizard. And having the most damage output using Arcane Torrent/Hydra (have a few items with +%Arcane and +%Arcane Torrent). But like all things I would like to find a stronger build and that requires the right equipment.

Almost have a full firebird set but it breaks almost every other set piece I have and I don't think it has enough "good" stats on the pieces to make a fire build workable.

Right now I have three pieces of Asheara's, two Aughild's, and two Blackthorne's with a RoRG. Tried finding out how to link my character profile but couldn't locate it.

To be honest I'm not sure what the strongest build is on wizard now, I think it's a fire conflagration build involving the items such as:

    https://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/mirrorball
    https://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/serpents-sparker

With fire damage (So I'd assume a firebird set with it, since that's getting buffed soon) Or the crafted items for the set effects.
Again I'm not 100% sure as I main a barb, maybe try asking in game what the strongest build is, then googling up a guide for it, that'll give you a direction to go in for your item hunting.

    Good luck!
