    How often do you cry?

Just like it says... How often do you cry? Is there always a reason for it like you hurt yourself or a bad thing happened, or do you just need to have a big ol' cry sometimes? Is it a single, manly tear rolling down your cheek or a giant bawwwwww-fest? If you don't cry, why not?

I guess around 10 times per month on average, most of the times due to anxiety/stress/depressive thoughts overwhelming me.

Months to years apart, generally only when someone close to me or who had a big
impact on my life passes away. If it's sad enough for me to cry, then it's a relatively
quick blubbering cry then nothing more.

On average maybe 3 times a year, that sounds about right.

Saying that, I felt like crying today - Fuck today.

Last time was when i was about 14 or 15, was a result of my mother being hospitalized and me potentially going into child's home (I was put into my grandparents care, who are religious and i loathe).

Crying isn't really my coping mechanism now.

Impossible to say. I don't cry unless something external personally impacts me in a specific way. Nothing internal.

Mostly pet deaths, family/friend deaths. Things that really can't be predicted. Every once in a great while, I'll cry for something so astoundingly positive.

Couple 2-3 times a year probably. There's something genetic in the men on my mother's side of the family that make us very susceptible to breaking down and crying, sometimes in public. It affects all the men on that side of the family and none of the women.

Unfortunately, most people see it as a sign of weakness, when generally it's just a result of an excess of anger or frustration or love. The biggest thing that makes me cry is kindness towards me when I'm having a rough time, or scenes of family love in a movie, but anger will get me every time. Possibly it's why I'm slow to anger, because I know how it turns out. People fail to see your anger and see only weakness when you're pissed but tears are streaming down your face.

'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
    All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

I used to do it a lot, mostly due to things not working out in my relationships. Nowadays...very rarely. I'll tear up every now and then - maybe from seeing a sad scene in a movie or something like that - but I don't remember the last time I flat-out cried.

I've cried earlier today because I was puking my guts out.

Oh man I am the worst for crying at movies. I cried my eyes out watching Dead Poets Society the other day with Kiera. Trying super hard to discretely wipe tears on her pyjamas so she doesn't notice.

Oh my god, and Voices of a Distant Star. Shit guys. It's like a 20 minute movie and I sob uncontrollably EVERY TIME. First time I saw it was sobbing to the point of heaving into the toilet.

Other than movies and stuff, probably only like once a week for me, usually because of panicing over something or other.

Every time I get a mini-statement from the ATM or check my balance.
Some mornings it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints.

Sometimes I just find myself crying for no reason whatsoever. It isn't even like I break down into sobs, I will be going about my daily activities and I will just start crying, tears rolling down my cheeks while I have absolutely no reason for it to be happening.

People think I'm manic or depressed or something, I don't feel like it, I just sometimes cry for no reason.

I cry perhaps... 1-2 times a month on average? I'm easy to get crying. Sometimes I don't even feel sad, more like I'm losing an argument IRL and then suddenly I get this big gut feeling and I start bursting out in tears, it's really annoying. One example, when I was like 8 I said something, and a guy from my class corrected me because I pronounced something wrong. Cue dramatic crying.

Of course, I have my moments where I just cry because I'm genuinely sad. But a lot of times I don't.

I watched that scene high on acid.

I don't think my emotional state afterwards can be described in any words I know of.
