Kato Kaelin was OJ Simpson's house guest, a hanger on who stayed on OJ's property and ate his food. I remember reading about how the British upper class back in Victorian times would often have permanent house guests as well, people who were treated almost as family, eating with them at meals, staying in spare rooms. George Clooney was a house guest for a time as he tried to break into a Hollywood career.
How do you get a gig like this?
