From Mac to PC, first time builder. Maybe wait for cyber Monday?

Budget: around 1200 $ less would be awesome
    Resolution: 1920x1080 wide
Games / Settings Desired: WOW on Ultra, BF4. ◦
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc): I do a lot of Photoshop and Creative Suite Stuff, and would like to do some light streaming but guesss budget might not allow for that.
    Country: USA - Ohio
Parts that can be reused: None
Do you need an OS?: Yes
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?: Not atm. Got a Razer Naga, Asus VN248 23.6 inches, crappy Logitech keyboard that I will update sometimes after, and got a headset

Little bit about the build. I am a first time builder - I am a long turn Mac user, who hooked up his laptops to the big screens. Finally fed up with the nearly non-existent upgradability of Macs. Sounds silly but will be awesome if to totally experience the WOW and other universes on maxed out settings - like a hell yea moment. I will mostly do 20 men raiding in WOD.
What would matter to me in this build is that I can get a stable core CPU, GPU, case and Motherboard that are relatively top tier with the rest to be upgraded in future months. Hence I would be fine with just 8gigs of ram for now and just a 256gig SSD and get more storage later.
One last concern, my B-day is on the release day of WOD, so would be awesome to have everything then … or should I wait for Cyber Monday, hehe, Been waiting a long time for this!

Have a look at this and let me know how you feel about it or any concerns you may have. There is some room for savings but you have to cut down stuff/features. Cheaper/simple case, cheaper mobo, non modular psu etc, i just went with the best all around you can get for the money.

    edit:
ps: whatever you end up with, the gtx970 is in your budget and you should get it either way. So you may wanna order it asap cause most are pre-orders, if you wanna have it "soon".

Nothing to complain about here. This is the best you can get for your budget. Two additional thoughts:
    - If you don't need much storage now, you can skip the mechanical hard drive initially. Just buy one with your birthday money later
    - You could look around for an 80+ gold psu with a bit less wattage. This build will have a maximum power consumption of about 300W, so a 450-550W psu is more than enough. E.g. Seasonic G-450 or G-550.
Why do something simple, when there is a complicated way?

Fractal Define C | LG 32UK550 | Das Model S Professional Silent | CM Storm Xornet

Love the build, and tanks so much for taking the time.,was hung up at work so couldn't reply right away.
I decided that I can go a little bit over budget, would these 3 be compatible with the build? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/phanteks-case-phes614pbk, http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyt...-gaz97xgaming5, and http://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646i74790k and can I over clock the cpu?

I honestly wouldn't bother with the i7. I mean, if you want to spend the extra money, you certainly could. The case choice is quite nice. Also, you are from Ohio, and I know there are a couple MicroCenters around... If you figure out where one is, and it is near enough, you could get a bit of a discount on the MB/CPU probably.

Anyway, with slight tweaks, I put you $50 over budget, without adding the i7 (switched case and MB to the ones you posted and a different cooler for better temps when OCd)

Also, this is a list of the MicroCenter stores. It is currently $199 for the i5, $279 for the i7, and a $40 discount with a MB/CPU purchase bundle. Catalog showing that here.
