Which is your favorite gaming platform/distributor?
Which is your favorite gaming platform/distributor?
I guess this question is only for PC gamers?
Steam 100%. Origin is total crap, along with the kinds of games it supports, like the sims franchise which is a complete rip off.
In this age you cant just buy a game and be sure you are enjoying everything in it, there is always new dlcs to get or else you will feel left behind in the big picture or complete enjoyment of what the series has to offer. All games have this, but what Origin does is just undignified. They release small expensive dlcs that mostly add nothing to the game but cosmetic stuff, which might not seem like a big deal at first but it reminds you everytime you log in that you dont have it and gets frustrating. I mostly see this on my sister, she likes to collect everything in the sims and since its one of the only games she plays she thinks its ok to spend money on all that crap. I will stay with wow and all the indie games that Steam does a fine work supporting, also workshops for CS GO and Skyrim. No one can compete with its quality.
EDIT: Uplay is so lame i cant even... it has what, FAR CRY and Heroes of Might and Magic? There is a small one that i like, Anno 2070, but all else? nah steam beats it.
GOG shouldnt even be on the list. Its steam's kid.

Steam, no real question. Sure, it has some low points in its history but no other similar platform comes close.
Steam of course. Everything else has too little games; and origin is a pinnacle of awfulness, with its google chrome-style fucking updates every week, laggy client, unability to choose a language of a game you play, etc etc. Indian programming at its best.
I personally would love gamedevs to stop trying to implement their own bad steam and start use steam instead. Its not very convenient when you have to use 250 steam-like apps just because every dev out there tries to own his own steam, making abominations as a result.

No more time wasted in WoW.. still reading this awesome forum, though
Steam but not through the Steam store but GMG.
GOG is close second.
Torre... oops, yes, yes, Steam.
Steam is a great all-purpose distributor, but GoG is good at what it does which is focus on more oldies/indie titles.
I actually perfer Origin to Steam, but still has a much larger library and more sales and/or more publicized sales.
Thrift stores are my main distributor for PC games.
Humble Bundle.
"In order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must be intolerant of intolerance." Paradox of tolerance
Steam is the only one I can even really tolerate.
I wish they would get rid of this crap though, Because of games being hooked up to steam, in reality we don't own any of the games we buy.
Why? Because steam can shutdown anytime, any day for any reason and we lose access to everything instantly.
>Games for windows
Lost my Fallout 3
I won't repurchase.
Steam for sure. Impressive collection (even tho i hate the web browser based part...)
Steam.
GoG have good deals, but it's not as vast as Steam.
Steam > Origin > GOG > PSN/nintendo online store > GFWL > uplay.
I'm so shocked there's no love for uplay.
