Love my glass beer tankard for tea and coffee. though ceramic is fine, main downside is that i don't have sizable ceramic mugs.
A nice tankard or ceramic. Tankard's just feel so manly, ceramic is really nice for tea.

I use a large ceramic mug. Mostly out of habit and because it was part of a house warming gift package from my mum when I moved out.
Ceramic. Now that I think about it, I only have ceramic mugs for hot drinks.

Is there any particular reason people prefer Ceramic mugs to other types?
Ceramic, simply because they seem to be the most readily available.

'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
The skull of my enemies!..
Or just a normal ceramic mug if there are no skulls available.
I use a ceramic Pug Mug

Stainless steel for me - I drink my coffee on the way to work / at work. Travel mug 4tw
Although, I serve my guests coffee in ceramic mugs.
Thermos (stainless steel) mug or ceramic mug for at home.
Ceramic. Not too big but not too small, pref thick base with a thinish lip and a good sturdy handle. I prefer not to drink out of black or dark brown mugs feels weird to me and I always feel like it doesn't taste the same, strange I know.
I've seen some available with a hole in the base for carrying 2/3 buiscuits, big plus for me, i might have to find one i like
I see..... Salandrin get's considerable competition lately.. I was willing to bet he opened thread lol
I love me a big mug. Material is rather unimportant, for as long as it isn't plastic. I hate plastic stuff.
