RL: Raid leadership varies per raid and sometimes even per boss. We have several capable officers for leading.
Requirements
- Technical requirement: It is expected your computer can run 20 man raids easily, 30fps as a bare minimum. We also expect you to have a solid internet connection with good uptime and few disconnects.
- We use a Mumble as voice chat. We will need you to be able to speak. We don't need you to chat, but you must be able to communicate when needed on raids.
- We are mostly looking for experienced raiders. Mythic experience in current content is near mandatory, unless you can convince us you are worth taking a chance on.
- Logs are highly valued, we need to know if you can hold your own.
- You need to be reliable and have high attendance. If you skip on raids during your trial you will need a very good reason not to get kicked.
- We use a base set of addons for raids as well as often installing new ones for specific fights, zones or general utility. You are expected to be able to find, install and configure new addons when needed.
Who we are
Genesis on Aszune is one of the oldest guilds on the Aszune server dating back to early Vanilla. It has experienced several reboots over the years. The current reboot happened after the 10m raidgroup in SPQ called "Blame Drenon" decided to have a guild of their own.
The SPQ Blame Drenon group was created at the start of Cataclysm. With only a 2-day schedule it managed to regularly stay in the top 3 on the server with progression. In MoP SPQ's Blame Drenon was consistently 2nd progression on the server, nipping at the heels of a 5+ day raiding guild, even scoring some server firsts here and there.
With WoD we now moved to Genesis and have switched to a 3-day schedule. We are pretty rigid on this, we do not want to burn out our raiders by having additional raid days. In the rare cases that it happens it will be completely voluntary.
Our official primary goal in WoD is getting Aszune server firsts. Secondary we try to get as high on EU/US ranking as possible.
But behind the scenes we're mostly in it for the fun of progression raiding.
We value personal skill and involvement. The core of our raiders are veterans of WoW progression raiding, many being around since Vanilla.
We are no-nonsense and expect every individual to be the best they can be. We aren't very strict, but we expect a mature and semi-professional attitude on raids. We do expect members to help the guild out as they see fit.
