Currently my main is a Warrior and was planning to have a Shaman be my alt but not liking it as much as I had hoped I would. At the moment planning to level up a DK or a Hunter. Thoughts/concerns? Please push me toward one or the other.

Both are in a good spot - hunter 's in a very good spot.
Do you like to tank? If so play the DK (Plus you're already on a warrior so maybe you preference melee more?).
Do you not really care about tanking and want to mix it up a bit and play a great ranged class - Go Hunter.

Your main is warrior, so go Hunter if you want different play style, DK if thou want similar
